Test Drove a G37S 6MT today :D
I gotta say that it is a totally different experience from driving a G Sedan. The 6MT was quite smoother than the 6MT Sedan. The clutch however was a bit on the light side. The throttle was really responsive, but also kinda rough. That's pretty much what I felt about the car from a 5 mins of test driving.
Interior wise, it's really the same feel as the G sedan except that it has a little bit less leg room. The back seats, however, were pretty useless. The trunk space was also very tiny, but at least it has the back-seat pass-thru.
I also liked the fact that the navigation system now includes the back-up camara.
That pretty much sums up my impression towards the new coupe. The salesman told me that he will work on a deal to see if I can trade in my sedan for a new coupe.
Here's the trim/option I wanted for the "possible" trade:
G37 Sport 6MT
Premium Package
Navigation Package
Illuminated Kickplate
Floor Mats
Trunk Mats
Salesman gave me MSRP, but said he will work on it and let me know if he can offer me a better price. I've currently paid for 6 months worth of payment out of 60, and $400 a month. If that same salesman can offer me to renew the contract with another 60 months and keep the payment down at $400, should I take the offer? Even though that means that I'm losing the $400 x 6 = $2400 that I've already paid for?
EDIT:
I forgot to mention the color that I wanted... I want either Blue Slate like my current sedan or the Ivory Pearl.

Don't do the trade. They'll shaft you any way they can. You're better off selling it in the Auto Trader or on here. You'll get more money for your vehicle, and not get shafted out of a deal on your new car.

I posted a pic of them on the M45, but they were orange to match the interior lights. I'd be willing to say for the new G, they'll either be blue like the cluster or white, like the cluster too..

If he can keep payments the same and put no more money down, and he wants the coupe, that would be a very good deal. But then it isn't going to happen, because the dealer is going to want more than a couple grand to go from a used 2007 to a new 2008.

You didn't lose 6 months, you drove the car for 6 months, so that money is gone, it's like renting.
I highly doubt they will let you do another 60 months for $400. that's really low and the dealership will probably lose money, but if they did offer you that deal, I would jump on it just like that.

hahah you're right G35MC. The sales manager who said such a deal was "DOABLE" who also was to contact me YESTERDAY, did not call. LOL
What a big surprise.
BTW, I have no problem driving my G35. I love the car, but I just thought I might as well try.
For those of you who has a G37 already. Congratulations, and I hope you abuse the crap outta that VQ37HR.
And thanks to everyone for your opinions.
