Adding a Spoiler

So I got a G37s 6-speed with premium a couple days ago. The only thing the car doesn't have that i wanted is the spoiler. The dealer owes me a spoiler via our negotiation, but I'm wondering how the led in the spoiler is going to work out since I currently already have a 3rd light under the glass.

Has anyone added a spoiler yet on a model that didn't have it?

I added one on the previous generation.

The trunk lid was prewired for a spoiler. All you need to do is get the holes cut and plug it in. You can then go into the box where the current 3rd light is and simply disconnect that one.

The third light can be removed, but the rear shelf cover material is cut around the light.

I wondering if the entire rear deck will be replaced. I'm not too keen on having a non functioning light under the glass. My guess is that if I don't gripe.. my dealer is just going to slap the new spoiler on and send me on my way.

Speak up now so there won't be any misunderstandings when install time comes.

How is visibility of this centre high-mounted stoplight (CHMSL) third light compared to the one on the spoiler (i.e. from an 18-wheeler truck perspective right on your bumper). Not that one would want to get in front up close, but in bumper-to-bumper traffic, I wonder if one is safer than the other.

Why not use both brake lights? It could only make it safer. This is what I would do. It would be unique.
