i think ur best bet is to brake torque and turn VDC off...also, brake tqing at 2k might not be enough to get a good launch with such a heavy car and a hi revving engine.....prolly need to do more like 3-4k rpm

With a Pro tree, reaction time starts when all three ambers light up (at the same time), which is .4 seconds before green. With a Sportsman tree, reaction time starts on the third amber (since they light in sequence), which is .5 seconds before green. Reaction time ends when you stop blocking the stage beam, which is also when elapsed time starts.

I think that the stall on this torque converter is 3500. Be sure to turn VDC off that will hamper it. Even when VDC is not apparent it is still kinda working a little fromwhat I understand.
I saw though in one of the mags that they got the best time by just flooring it ad using manual mode while chosing the mst optimum shift points.
Also try resetting your ECU. If the new G is anything like th eold one it may be restrictive during the first few thousand miles.

The 07 Z's are very fast, they have alot of folks over at my350z pulling 13.3's all day long at the track. That VQ35HR combined with the lighter weight of the Z (est 3350), it is very fast.

Guys, not to thread jack... but i just ran my car last nite at the track. Will post time slips and videos.

My first ROOKIE run, both at the track and with this car was:

14.018 @ 99.82

My fastest run was 13.956 @ 101.64 -- This was with a 5AT in DS mode.

nicee thats better. I was going to ask heat if he had it in ds. If not def go back and try it in ds.

Ahujaddady so it increased your timing by roughly sec and 2 mph. Thats not bad

I told you DS would prove to be fastest. Did you launch above 5k?

Nicely done. You officially made it into the 13's

Ah shoot guys, my mistake for poor communication. I meant both those times were in DS mode... i actualyl did try regualr Drive mode and got 14.4, but i think i messed up the launch that time. Will be posting a youtube vid.

My mileage is 3k

Its the 60 foot that will help you. Every tenth you can pick up in the first 60 feet will save you 2 tenths at the other end. So a 2.0 60 foot should put you in the 13's.

one of the the keys on this car is not to brake torque too much higher than the stall speed of the TC. If you do it will bog down a little on the launch and you will actually take off slower than if you had just floored it.

Attentions Mods Of This Site

Any moderators out there....

I posted a similar thread like this, and it was moved to the Motorsports / Track section. This was the section I orginally intended to post in, however I think something is wrong with it as I am not able to create new threads in that section, or even respond to my own thread which was moved there: https://www.myg37.com/forums/motorsports-track/174515-video-and-time-slips-of-my-g37-at-the-1-4-mile-track-broke-14-0-a.html

This was why i did not post there. So please, can you look into this? Thanks.

Oh yea, i wonder why this thread wasnt moved then as well? I guess it doesnt show up on the first page, so no matter?

Anyway. If anyone else is able to reply or make threads there. Lemme kno. The buttons dont even display for me in that section.

Sorry about that Ahujadaddy.

It's been corrected and you should be good to go.
If you are still having any problems please send me a pm.

Thanks for the heads up.

With a lower reaction time I could possibly hit the 13's.

Oh and by the way, I was beat by an '07 350Z stock who ran about a 1/2 sec faster. (high 13's)
Which track did you run at?
