VDC turned off.....

I just had to post....I found an empty parking lot this morning and turned the VDC off....
I squealed like a 14 year old girl at an NSync concert....

Plus the girl at the coffee shop with the great made everyone wait in line while she came out and looked at the car....
No one in line seemed to care because they were all looking at it too....

I f'ing love this car.....

Infiniti - thank you....thank you....thank you!

sw3333333333t! shda had someone take a vid, lol

I gotta say THANK GOD for VDC, already had an "experience" with this RWD beeaast.
Was kinda cold this morn (maybe High 50's low 60's ?), and roads were slighlty wet/damp... taking an exit that i ALWAYS take at 40 mph with my old corolla...
I enter the exit a bit above 40, downshift with the paddles to 3rd to hold me throughout the ramp. Feel the car get a bit uneasy, but i figure its too early in the morn (6am) and must be my imagination.... so as i exit the curve, i begin to softly accelerate from 40 mph (still in 3rd gear on my 5AT) and all of a sudden the back end starts to go and i start facing the guard rail just about...

I GET scaaared, but not enough that i forget what to do... so i COUNTER STEER instantly and let go of the gas and keep my foot off both pedals.... in hindsight i maybe shd have accelrated a bit after counter steering?

In either case SLIP light came on, and car corrected. If it wasnt for VDC maybe a simple counter steer wdnt have been enough?

Aaaanyway, awesome dude... i plan on "learning" about my RWD car more in a WET, empty stadium parking lot =)

Yeah this is what I'm going to need to learn when I get mine... You know with these FWD car's, you can take some mean corners and not that much happens as it would in a RWD car.

OP, Is your car 6MT or 5AT?

Hahaha. I love that quote and think I have seen it before somewhere for some reason. Oh yeah, I think that's exactly what I said when I bought my first car (FX).

Better yet, wait till you get yours and you will really see the difference.

RWD Rules. Never going back to the FWD if I can avoid it.

That's for sure. I gave up my 350Z for an Acura TL. I thought, I'm an adult. I just drive to work, all freeway. No big deal.

What do you mean you can take some mean corners? If you try to power through a turn in your integra youll go straight into a telephone pole. FWD cant hang with rear in the turns.

I guess he meant with the understeering nature of FWD is that its much more forgiving, and therefore easier to push it to the limits. When the car understeers its usually fairly progressive and easy to let off the gas to correct it.
RWD, oversteer, if the rear end kicks out .. i think you know what he means

Exactly! I knew what he meant as well. Maybe its cuz i used to attack corners all the time with my corolla, and pretty much got the whole FWD scene down. FWD + eBrake + wet conditions = good time

now time to step up to RWD.... Just waiting for the rain
