Someone hit my car in the parking lot :(
I had a g35 for 5 years there wasn't one scratch on it. I have my g37 for less than 3 weeks and someone hit my car in the parking lot. It happened on the front left bumper. the auto body shop quoted me $340.
If the paint is just scratched will waxing the car fill in the scratches? The auto body shop said they have to paint half my bumper.

If you can feel the scratches theyre not gonna come out. And what body shop is dumb enough to only paint half the bumper. They have to repaint the whole thing otherwise it will look terrible. Get it done right your in the 08' G not a 92' accord. I feel for you though

Someone had some similar bad luck too, their mirror was broken off hanging by the cord in the parking lot of their apartments or something like that. No other paint color was on it anywhere..

I'm with you. I've had nothing but bad luck with new cars. The G37 I have on order will be my 3rd new car I've owned. The first was stolen and ripped apart and the second someone rammed a shopping cart into it. All this happened within the first month of owning the cars!

1992 Ford Explorer - curbed two wheels the first time she parked at her office
1997 Ford Expedition - backed out of the garage before the door was all the way up. Peeled off the luggage rack, and derailed the door.
2001 Honda Odyssey - 30 minutes after delivery, she pulls into a parking space at her office that bordered a chain link fence. Misjudging the nose of the car, she makes contact with the fence, where the small metal barbs created when the metal was dipped in the galvanizing solution punching 12 holes through the bumper cover.
2007 Acura MDX - backed into a light pole, heavily scratching the back bumper.
What a track record! Interestingly enough, she's never gotten a ticket and is actually a reasonably intelligent person - she's a geophysicist working for an independent oil company.
With that outstanding resume, I'm thinking about offering her services to new car owners. Any takers?

Gurney: That is awful, but hilarious. I hope she wont be getting near the G soon. haha
Ezra: Sorry about you car... THAT SUCKS BIG TIME! It could have been worse.

Gurneyeagle you poor bastage, we might as well be married to the same woman.
Mine likes to rear-end people ( no jokes people ), finally had to buy her a car with a BIG BRAKE KIT, and WIDE STICKY TIRES on it. No accidents for several years now.
(BTW, my wife backed MY new MDX into a NO PARKING SIGN while PARKING.)
Don't let them paint HALF your bumper. Make them take the bumper off to work on it. Only thing that goes into the paint booth is the bumper cover.
Don't let them do any "blending". Don't let them convince you that the bumper won't match if they don't "blend". It's not going to match anyway, and you don't want them to touch your factory paint on the rest of the car. I would rather have a mismatched bumper. And with todays paint mixing tech, it might actually match pretty well.

Honestly, I've hidden the second set of keys! I don't think she has even ridden in it yet.
I've sufficiently scared her about damaging the car.
