g37 options

i was at an infiniti dealer today and i was lookin at all the cars on the lot and they are all fully loaded with all the packages...i just want the premium package on the 6mt. the dealer sed it would cost more to get a new g37 with the just the premium package bcuz the factory gives the dealers g37 with packages on them already...wat i dont get is arent the packages options? meaning u could get the packages if u WANTED them...so why are there g37 with all those packages and upgrades on them already... i kno ppl would buy them like that but im saying should i have to pay a lot more for just wanting the premium package on the g37

Find a dealer who isn't full of crap and order the car the way you want it.

No, they're lying to you. What they're trying to do is make you buy one of the cars on the lots with the "unnecessary" options. For each extra option they sell to you, the more profit they make off of you by selling at a higher cost than invoice.

Also, you shouldn't pay more than MSRP for ANY configuration.

They're lying to you. Are there any other dealers reasonably close to you? If so, you should call them and ask if they have a model with the options you want. Then negotiate from here.

I agree 100%.

When I purchased my car, I picked it off a list of cars coming in, and there was a wide variety of option package combos, with the exception of only two 6MT's

You should be able to find what you want.

The rear spoiler is an option, not standard.

Bottom line is, do not pay over MSRP on the car that you want whether it is ordered for you or it's already on the lot.

What a load of BS....they might as well package it with a G35 sedan and tell you you gotta buy both! I agree, go somewhere else if you can or just go back and call them out on it. I can't believe some dealerships think that us consumers have no clue. When I asked about the VPP for the G37...one salesmanager told me the VPP took 2 YEARS to be applied to the G35 coupe. Did he think I was gonna say...."uh ok...I'll just buy it today." I should have called him out and told him "So you're saying Nissan Employees will have to wait 2 years to use their employee discount."
