Just curious, who really cares? Unless you are in the marketing department of Nissan USA, what does it matter? Anyone's job on the line here?

I can see someone waiting for rebates, price concessions, etc. interested, but this thread has become a "nah, nah, na nah, nah!" forum for G35 coupe owners. Your car was just obsoleted, your p.o.'d and defensive. We got it!

If you want sour grapes, go buy some cheap wine.

I wanted a G37 and purchased one of the first ones in New Orleans. I paid full list, knowing full well that at some point there will be some discounting. I also had a trade-in that was depreciating at the rate of 2K miles per month. Any waiting for possible discounts would be offset by the diminished value of my trade.

I love my car, I'm more than happy with what I paid for it (cash, not a lease), and whether they sell a million of them, or practically none, doesn't affect me one bit.

Wait, I take that back; the less they sell the more exclusive my car will be.

^^ Yeah, I'm in your camp there Mr. Donohue. I buy cars to make one person happy and as long as they make parts for awhile to keep this one on the road it's all good. 1400 miles and I'm really enjoying it now. Redline comes way too quick!

Less of them on the road is good for me as well, as I enjoy the exclusivity. I still have people chasing me everywhere to get a closer look. I paid MSRP because like you I felt it was a great deal for a great car. To put off this experience 'til next spring to save a potential couple grand is plain silly.

Chi-Town, Gurney...the whole point of starting the thread was to inform those G37 enthusiasts out there about the August sales numbers. Yes, I was kind of ahead myself when I first posted it considering the car hadn't been out for all of August. That was my mistake.

I had no intention of starting a, "I told you the G37 wasn't going to sell well" thread (though I can't apologize for other responses on this thread seeing as how I didn't make them). Quite the contrary, I was surprised when I saw the sales numbers...and then I realized I was being foolish.

^Ya gotta admit when you title something "not a good start" it's got trouble written all over it and the negativity grabs a select group of posters. Oh well...I know you had better intentions!

Of course. As soon as I realize I made the mistake, I thought, "*hit, I just royally screwed this one up."

I wouldn't take it personally. One guy decided to be an crybaby a$$hole for no reason. I thought this was an interesting topic, that didn't turn into a "watch G35 owners bash the G37" and I am interested to see more comparable statistics in the future.

I don't think you made a mistake, and certainly have nothing to apologize for.

If you want to resort to name calling, at least learn how to spell. If you were that interested in sales stats, you wouldn't need to provide the commentary. You're entitled to your opinion, as am I.

For the record, I think the G35 Coupe is one of the most beautiful cars that have ever been made. I've liked them from day 1, and feel the G37 is an enhancement of an already great design.

Let's try and keep it civil.

First off, I didn’t misspell anything genius. Secondly, I did feel the need to comment because your post came out of left field and was uncalled for.

Actually, there was nothing wrong with Gurney's post at all. Why was his post uncalled for?

Alex, no need for apologies bro.....you didn't screw up anything. You are, and always have been a positive and respected member here.

I'll be interested in seeing the numbers for September when they are introduced the 1st of October. I still think the numbers for the first full month will be great.

Read your post again. Through a grammatical error, you misspelled a word.

I apologize if you feel my post came out of left field, but I take exception to your comments. Either way, there's no reason to stoop to name calling.

Flame off.

Genius, last time I checked "an" was a word. Now if want to be my English teacher I suggest you figure out the difference between "your" and "you're" the next time you decide to flame a thread. I made an obvious typo, you don't understand word meaning. The fact is that attacking someone on grammar, on an internet forum, is an attack on yourself.

"flame off"?? Grow up...

Now back to the topic....

Back to the topic, just stop the obnoxious name calling, please.

You got me on the "your". Good catch.

My point was/is that a lot of folks seem more concerned that the 37 doesn't meet the sales recorded by the 35, and I don't understand why. There have been a number of 35 owners who have done nothing but pass comments on the new car that SEEM to be rooted in jealousy over the new car. I don't think anyone can dispute that.

Like I have already posted, I apologize if I misunderstood your initial post. If you don't want to accept the apology, so be it.

Like you, back to topic.

Like I said before, maybe there should be a category called "G37 sucks!" on here so everyone that hates this car so much can go and post to their heart's content. I am all for an open debate, but I agree Gurney, a lot of these posts seem to be coming from people with too much time on their hands. I for one would not be on this forum if I hated the car so much.
