spolier or no spolier for G37?
hey i ordered my G37 last week fully loaded blk/blk with the option spolier, but im really confused about getting the add on spolier, both spoliers look good on the car but i saw some pics of ob G37's with the option spolier and it looks like it sticks out too much from the side view and doesnt flow from the side profile, yet the stock chrome spolier flows well with the car at all angles. Could i buy the spolier after i get my car? and let the dealer install it for me? can someone post pics of ob g37's with and without the spolier (rear and side view) please,
thanks alot

I have the spoiler and it looks great. I don't think it sticks out too much at all. I just picked up my car a day or so ago and haven't had a chance to post pics, but I will soon.
Here's what I noticed and it may explain why the optional spoiler needs to come factory installed:
The back (3rd) break light in cars without the spoiler is in the shelf of the back window. On the optional spoiler it is on the spoiler itself. If you were to try to install the optional spoiler to a car not intended for it, you would have two back break light bars, one in the window and one on the spoiler. So I'm not really sure dealers will be able to mess with that.
Both the chrome spoiler and the optional larger one look great. It's all just personal preference. Good luck!

FWIW, the spoiler seems to look better on cars with splash guards. Also, it seems to me the spoiler makes the car look longer and no spoiler makes it look shorter and a little stubbier. Or, I could be nuts, who knows?

I've got the spoiler on my car, and it looks great. However, the cars without the spoiler look awesome too, especially the Black and Slate Blue cars.
That chrome spear looks classy! You can't go wrong either way.

Actually, it is a lot harder to remove a factory installed than to install the spoiler on a non-factory equipped car. Yes, the spoiler need not be factory installed. After all, it is listed as port installed option on the order guide. And, the port simply disconnects the CHMSL. But, if you remove a factory spoiler, you will not have a CHMSL and you could end up in big trouble, not to mention what your trunk lid will look like.
