Ok, I'm just trying to get some ideas on what to do. Do most of you have a different car to drive during the winter, or will you purchase the non-sport version because of the all season tires, or...get the sport version and put some all season tires on it? I really want to get the sport version but don't know if it is worth it, since I live in NJ. What would you do in my situation?

Forget the model for a sec. You need WINTER TIRES for the winter regardless of what model you get. Now, I'm not sure how much it snows in NJ, but here, we get lake effect snow constantly. All season tires just won't cut it on snow and ice even if you have an AWD car.

So in other words, go for the sport if you'd like...just make sure you get winter tires for winter driving.

Exactly Alex! I would consider winter tires a MUST if you are driving in any type of snow and ice. When driving in the winter, the tires are the most important part of your car. I've got a G35S and I'll be running Blizzaks all around. This will be my 4th winter driving a G35 in the winter and I've never had a problem when running winter tires.

I am getting the sport package and I plan on getting a dedicated set of winter wheels and tires, that will make it easier to swap them out myself!

The winter months haven't been that bad in NJ the last couple of years, I'm wondering if I could get away with all season tires on the sport version.

I made it through last winter with the summer tires on my G35. It wasn't fun, let me tell ya.

Why take the chance? If you are purchasing tires already, you may as well get winter tires and provide yourself more safety. I never did understand why people want to scrimp on something that could save your life. I recently purchased four Blizzaks mounted on 350Z wheels for $500. Just keep an eye out in the Marketplace here or over on G35Driver.

^^ summer tires turn to bricks in the cold. Head the advice and get a winter tire setup. I have another car and the G will wait for better weather, but I have had plenty of other cars where I had a winter tire/wheel setup and just bolted 'em on Dec.1 regardless of what the temp was outside. They came off April 1. Don't put yourself or others at risk.

I will be drive my Ford Focus in the Winter/some of Fall and I will be only driving my G37 when it is nice outside.

I live in Massachusetts and I'm definately getting a dedicated set of snow tires. I drove a friends car with snow tires last year and let me tell you, they were awesome. I didn't get stuck in the snow once..

new york here! and as you all know, during the winter season, its crazy! i tried to back out my driveway with 2 inches of snow on the ground and i didnt get no where and that was in my old G35 coupe. I plan on buying a beater and storing the G37.

Don't cheap out -- winter tires are a must in an area that has 4 seasons. I will never go without. Mind you, I have a set of Nokian WR, the only all-season tire with the snowflake (rated for 'winter') that I know of. I don't have to deal with 'noreasters so I can get away with these tires.
