Anyone received delivery of a G37 with rosewood?
I was wondering if anyone has received delivery of a G37 with rosewood yet? I was one of the first at my local dealer to order a G37 but they are now telling me it is going to delay delivery at least until October. If someone has one, how does it look in the coupe? I am hoping it will make the interior a little more luxurious without killing the sportiness.

My dealership has an IP with Rosewood, and I must say, I was pretty impressed with it. I do not normally like wood trimmed interior but this new Rosewood looked pretty nice. It did not have that plastic look with the gloss all over it. It looked like Mahogany wood. Very sleek.

I can't understand why Infiniti decided not to offer rosewood with the Sport option. This is a high end car line and both aluminum and rosewood should be offered as an independent option. I also heard that at least on the G35 sedan it is expensive to change over the aluminum to rosewood as the whole door panel has to be replaced. You are probably talking about $2000 to $3000 to have it done.

From Nissannews dot com it looks you can buy a Journey with a sport package and wood trim. A 6mt G35S is not available with wood trim. From this info, I think the 5AT with sport option is ok with wood option.

I have to admit that the wood does look very nice. I hate myself for saying it.
It shouldn't look good at all. It should look cheesy. But it doesn't. I was almost disappointed that it didn't look cheesy, because I have the aluminum trim.
I would have picked the aluminum trim anyway, because sports cars aren't supposed to have wood. Wood is not an optimal material to make sports cars out of. It gives me a slow heavy comfortable feeling. Never mind that it probably weighs the same as the aluminum.
(I wouldn't say that wood doesn't belong in the car. Press the accelerator, get wood. Thats all I'm sayin')

+1 I was kind of upset when I found out that rosewood is not optional in the sport package. Give the car about two years Im sure Infiniti will hear are compliants and change it. I mean the Bmw335i has a sport package and has wood option. I know they want to keep it sport but come on I like sport and luxury. But the washi paper is nice to. Its Better than regular aluminum trim.
