Insurance - Going Down???
I just called up my insurance company (USAA--great company) to add the new G37 to my policy so I'll be all set to pick it up tomorrow and was expecting an increase in my rates because of it. Instead, it's gone DOWN $336!! The car it's replacing is an '05 G35. Anyone else seeing this with their policies?

Yeah.. I had to call in to get the rates on it. The rep definitely used a G37 not a G35 because it's on my updated insurance page on the site as an '08 G37 w/ my VIN.

That is AWESOME news!! You're right they are one of the BEST insurance companies. Very elite! I just logged on and requested a quest, but the G37 was not on the drop down list. Sooo, I'll wait and see if mine drops too. The crash test is an very important factor they say.
Wellbelow: CONGRATS ON YOUR G-RIDE BTW.... JEALOUS...VERY JEALOUS ;-)

My insurance went up $99 every six months over my 2005 TL due to the value of the car. I've got State Farm for everything (cars and house) and a $1 million liability umbrella.
Since my homeowners has gone up $2,500 since Katrina (as opposed to just being cancelled), it's no big deal.

Wow, Gurney that homeowner's premium is INSANE. Did you get a good deal on your G37 in Louisiana? My husband suggested that we might ride to Lousiana if the price is right. Just curious.... I know you said you got $2500 over on your trade-in, but I was wondering about the price of the G37. Did you trade in a G35?
As far as the homeowners insurance is concerned, I'm lucky as many people have been cancelled. It's total b.s. since my house sits 27 feet above sea level. I live on the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain and sustained no damage to the house. I lost about 25 pine trees that cost $7K to remove (not covered by insurance), but that's another story!
