Let's talk illuminated kick plates.

Since those appear to be a port installed option, but aren't showing up on any coupes for the next couple months or so... do you guys think this will be something we can easily do afterwards?

Meaning the wiring will already be in place, or easy to do. So that, at a later time, we could purchase the illuminated kick plate and drop it in ourselves?

Do i smell group buy? =p Any thoughts people?

^ i'd definitely be interested in a group buy for these! i really hope it's pre-wired.

you know... i also think the LED side mirrors in G35Driver would look amazing on these cars as well. i wonder if there's enough interest if we could get that going...

The M currently has illuminated kick plates. I imagine the G37, if it really does end up gettin them, would be of a violet color to match the rest of the interior lighting theme.

Talkin of a GB is exciting, but we're not even sure if the wiring is in place or how easy it would be to do.

I think this was a mod done on the G35 back over on driver, not sure what came of it though. Hoping someone with expertise here knows about any of this.

port installed option... sorta like splash guards.

The first several months of G37's do not/will not have these... apparently.
Some dealerships i talked to said it does show as an option, but its "grayed" out... as in, they can't select it at this time when they order.
Not sure if thats becuz its a PIO, in any case... im sure Kenny (DaMayor) can shed some much needed light on this.

It is indeed prewired for the Illuminated kickplates. They are $320. So far they are not available to be installed but I know I am trying to buy them anyways and will have the dealer install them later if necessary. If not then I am sure there will be aftermarket kickplates to install and I am sure it cant be hard.

Is it possible to replace the 9.3gb music box hard drive with a larger one? Does the navigation system use the same hard drive as the music box? I have over 30gb of music and I couldn't see using the music box over my 60gb ipod. It would be great to upgrade the hard drive.

This eliminates that cord from dangling down and plugging into the cig lighter.
Take some pics of the setup u got inside ur car maang!
for now the cord is trailing down the side of the dash.. doesnt look great so i'll look for a cleaner solution.
