i agree with you regarding 'no-plates'. i specifically asked my salesman and order mgr to not add plates to the front or a dealer plack to the back. lets see if that's what i get!

my supervisor at work has a 350z and has no front plates he told me that there is an exception for not having a front license plate in ca and it was if it is on a sports car. Being that the 350z is a two seater I assume it is classified as a sports car as is with the vette and other 2 seaters. How many sports cars that you see have a front license plat in ca? I really dont see any. I tried looking that up and couldnt find the acutal penal code for it. I will ask him tomorrow and find out exactly the code and where i can find it.

I think that is really a "self-made law." Technically, all cars are required to have front and back plates in CA. However, I have been driving my current Honda Prelude for 5 years now without ever having front plates. And I have never been pulled over because of it. IMO, I don't think cops would waste their time just to pull you over for the sole purpose of not having front plates. They would rather be pulling over people breaking real traffic laws...

I agree. My mom has a Lexus GS350 that doesn't have front plates. My brother's old G35 coupe didn't have front plates and now his 335i doesn't have front plates either. lol We're a family of "no front plates allowed" Also my mom's Mercedes S-class doesn't have front plates either.

Maybe I am not sure if it is a self made law or not. But I havent had front plates on any of my cars from my 01 prelude, my 04 evo, or my gli. The only place i was stopped for my plates was in VA. I dont know if they even have that law but I got stopped there.

IMO i think it also depends on where you are at in CA. There are places like nor cal that I never got messed with but when i am in so cal i use to get messed with all the time.

Maybe your family should stop wasting money on cars and donate it to poor people who actually need it.

Good thing front plates are not required in my Province. The dealer did not put the front plate bracket on and they did not put the dealer sticker on the trunk. They said they wouldn't dare to put these things on a G37. especially since its the first one. but they did put that plastic thing on the rear plate.

Mine are simple
- Clear bar - dealer installed
- Tint - Dealer installed. They did an excellent job with my G35
- iPod - hopefully Apple with incorporate the new 160GB Samsung drive
- Thinking about no front plate
nogoodname007, what province are you in. I was under the impression that it was illegal in Ontario, but I really haven't investigated.

In Chicago if you park on the street or in a City parking garage(O'Hare Airport) without a front plate you WILL get a $50 ticket. I paid too many of those over the years trying to go without a front plate that unfortunately I will need to mount the plate and live with the look as usual.

I agree with the NorCal and SoCal differences. I think cops are more **** down there for some reason. My weekday city commute to work/home has only cops stopping people for carpool so I'm pretty safe then.

i thought no front plate was a given. lol i can't remember the last time my mom had her front plate on in WI, so when i got my body kit i didn't even bother gettin a front bumper with anywhere to even think puttin a plate. then i took the front plates off every other car i've bought. i just keep out of state tags on my car. that makes it even easier to break laws. lol

That will not go well with my parents. My father was extremely poor (as in $.25 poor) when he came to America (illegally) from South Korea. My mom was alright though. If it wasn't for my father with the help from my mother, I wouldn't be here on these forums! My parents understand what it means to be poor... but now they're very well off because of sheer hard work and determination. They're very much capitalists so they feel that... "Work for your money!"

hats off to your parents. if that value holds true then you must be the number #1 student at your school to be gettin a g37 right out the gates.
