I believe that it's illegal to have any tint on the windshield in California and front side windows.

Edit: Front sides can be 70%. Although I'm really really hoping that I will get into University of Indiana - Bloomington and their tint laws are different. So I think I will just try to go with 30% all around (except windshield).

My first mods will be to lower it and put wheels on it... anyone have any idea on when springs will be available and what kind of offsets/widths will work on the 37?

Here's Indiana tint laws: http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/IN/

30% all around except windshield, so you'll be safe. Also, if you get pulled over, roll down both of your windows if you're in CA still. At most, the police will either tell you to either give you to remove the tints and/or give you a fix-it ticket.

This isn't really mod related, but for those that ordered the Navi package, I would strongly recommend that you get a small MF cloth for your LCD screen. You'll constantly be getting finger prints on the LCD since it's touch screen, so you'll wanna wipe it off frequently. I just keep a small MF cloth in my armrest.

What's a MF cloth? I think that I will try to use the buttons and voice as much as possible and avoid the touch screen. My salesman said that Infiniti would rather people not touch the screen because of the chemicals on our fingers over time ruin the screen. The MF cloth sounds like a really good idea.

My dealer said that they do not tint windows at the dealership but they can refer you to someone. Thats crap. Anyways, I will stick to my guy who has done all my cars. He is a professional and has been doing it for like +15 years. And it is Lifetime Guaranteed tint. That is important.

Also, it is not any different on a G37 to tint than any other car. They just cut it to fit your car windows.

My suggestion would be to find a reputable tinter, and it doesnt have to be an expensive one either. And check the job afterwards (no bubbles, scratches, not sealed properly). It should be a little hazy for the first 24 hours though.

First for me will be tint, next will be K&N air filters just as soon as I can get them. After that I will be off to get it tuned, just as soon as I get past my break-in period.

Seriously, don't tint your freakin' windshield. You are a young kid with a 330hp car, why invite more trouble to your doorstep? Have you even considered how much harder it will be to see at night time? What if a person or a animal walks out in front of you at night? I'm not here to lecture, but you are getting a great car for your age, use some common sense and prove that you're mature to handle it.

I've never heard of tinting the windshield. Does it really keep the temp in the car lower than just tinting the other windows?
