Yes you can play movies from your Ipod, or from a anything that will hook up to an RCA jack, i.e Portable DVD player and it will show on your Nav screen. But this can only be done when you are not driving. Also, you can play games through it as well. For example you can hook a PS3 up as long as you have an Ac adapter for power. This car is full of entertainment, well as long as you get the NAV.

 

So, the non-nav package can't do that even though it has a screen as well?

 

I am pretty sure because it wont have the AV jacks. It is part of the "music box" that comes with the NAV.

Wrong. The auxiliary input is standard on all trims. The Music Box is just a hard drive...

I'm pretty sure the ipod input would still be there without nav. It comes with the premium package not the nav

 

Sorry, that's true. Ipod comes with Premium and the RCA jacks is standard. SD card comes with Nav.

True, but I'd hate to have someone all set to get in their new G and listen to their music on the SD cards they just bought only to say "oh no! It's compact flash? What will I do with only having AM, FM, XM, CD player, Music Box, Ipod, & Aux. for choices?"
