I know it's jumping the gun a bit but does anyone know if Infiniti is going to keep with a four year cycle on these cars?

I'm just wondering because I'm going to lease and would hate to like to plan it so i can move into the next generation G if I like it.

 

Yes, Infiniti will stick with the same life cycle they always use. However, I believe the G35 coupe was produced during 2003-2007 model years, so that is 5 model years. I expect them to stick to that, so the G37 will be around for 5 model years also.

Yeah, you are jumping the gun. This is my opinion on the situation. I don't think Infiniti originally planned on redesigning the G35 within 4 years. The competition forced Infiniti to jump the gun. After the redesigned 3 series and the IS came out, everybody seemed to forget about the progress Infiniti made. All the magazines were jumping off the bandwagon. More importantly Infiniti sales were tanking.

To put it plain and simple, I don't think Infinti knows what they are doing yet. I think the success of the G35 sedan and the G37 over the long term(which is most important factor) will dictate how soon the 3rd generation will arrive.
