Yesterday I had another guy pass me, but was riding parallel to me, in the wrong lane, because of me speed and it was me that had to eventually yield to him.
On another occasion, a kid motioned with his steering wheel like he was going to run me over as a joke for his friends in the car. I didn't think it was funny.
All of these incidents happened on a residential street that is clearly marked and designated as a bicycle route.
The law is to yield to pedestrians and cyclists, but a lot a people do a very poor job of it all the time.
I think it is a good idea.

I read somewhere that the elevated hood provides a softer cushion compared with the hard engine if ever anyone's head gets thrown that way.
Put it this way, imagine you are making out and both of you get rough ... too rough, the hood pops up so that the head isn't cracked open on the hard engine parts .

This feature not only reduces injuries to the person that is hit, but more importantly it gives car companies more flexability in front end design. This feature helps nissan meet safety standards and allows them to be more creative in front-end design.

You know pedestrians and bicyclists are very hard to see on the road. It certainly is very important to pay attention at all times when driving, but as a pedestrian/cyclist it is even more important to pay even more attention yourselves when navigating the streets.
I don't know how many times I've seen these guys just walk into a street without looking. Sometimes I think it is because they have genetic flaws and other times I think it is out of arrogance.
As a pedestrian/cyclist I always make eye contact with the driver before proceeding..
As a driver, I always anticipate an unexpected quick move by a pedestrian/cyclist.

Nice vid but what did the wrighting say?
Oh ya Sukairain nice mod to the pic I have it blowen up and posted at work.
In all seriousness it does do a better job of distriputing the force of the impact to the person. This will help with lessening internal injuries and head injuries.
It is funny to joke around a bit but I have hit a kid while driving came out running from between to parked cars. He was fine but i was driving slow this feature is just ther to help if the unforseen happens. And if it was you driving and you acidentaly hit some kid weather it is you fault or not you'd be glad if this saved his life.
