Also, they may want to move the M's, so they can play with the figures (net cap cost, residual, MF, etc.) for a lower monthly payment. For a new car, they may not be willing deal as much. Also, that M special is with $4,800k down.

Couple of my mates paid invoice price for 335i, it's not that hard to get! I still prefer my Infiniti over any German vehicle due to reliability issues.

Heard of AM, but this is an online G37 forum, not the grocery store, and I've never been angry here anyway, just annoyed. If Yimbie were this "nice" in public though I'm sure a lot of people would push him around.
Will someone please tell me what "refined" means. Based on a lot of what I have read about the G35 the car isn't as refined as many think it is. That is what I have always liked about Nissans - they are less "refined"..

I've corrected the price to be approx $8,700 (without destination charges). My mistake!

Don't want to hop in this Vette debate, but as far as ride quality, the vette has always be called a very civil car, and with the magnetic ride, would ride better then the G in GT mode.

If I buy the G37, I plan to walk in the day after Christmas to offer them my patrionage.

Infiniti was selling about 25K coupes per year in the U.S. at the height of G35 sales. BMW sells about 20K coupes per year. Lexus is aiming for 40K IS sales, although the 350 will only account for about 8-10K of that amount. In the first generation the G35 coupe-sedan mix was about 40%-60%. Infiniti may want to sell fewer coupes and more sedans. Or, Infiniti might expect the MBZ and Audi to take some sales away from this generation that weren't being taken away from the first generation. A lower supply of coupes can support a higher price for coupes. And, this could mean dealers are less willing to deal. Of course, if the demand is less, because of the higher prices and the increased number of competitors, dealers will be dealing like before.
I imagine there are people at Infiniti who could answer these questions, but we'll really never know. All we can do is see how many coupes come in to dealers and how many get sold. Once dealers start getting cars which are not presold, they may begin to deal on ordered cars to keep their purchase volume high and because they have no costs to sell a presold car.

^ yes it was announced before the US pricing. There is a thread here somewhere on that. IIRC, the prices have a slight decrease from '07. that probably reflects our stronger currency and slightly closes the wide gap between US and CDN prices.
