These prices are a smidge more than I expected...for the sedan, the base price of the '07 G35 Sport is "only" 32-33k, whereas on the Coupe it looks like to get a Sport model you are looking at 35k base, plus the $1800 Sport option pkg?
Dumb question: If you get an automatic Coupe WITHOUT the sport package (and hence without the paddle shifters) does it still have a tiptronic-style manual mode, where you can manually control the upshifts & downshifts with the shifter itself? I can live without the paddles if the shifter itself has a "side gate" that provides the same up/down capability.
Also, is it likely that the automatic, non-sport model will be top-speed-limited like (I think) the Sedans are?

wow, my equipped version of the g37 came out to be $41315, sport, premium, spoiler and destination charge. Hmm, seems alright I guess but if the new A5 comes out to be about 45000 with similar options I might have a hard time choosing.

Yeah.. finally some real numbers.
A nearly maxed out G is about the same price as a base 335i w/sport pkg. If Infiniti can come close to BMW leasing figures (since most people lease luxury cars), than the price margin should be noticeable.

Gotta say, they priced it a little to high, offered a little too less, and added way too much weight.
I think some people are just so jealous that they make posts like these... just my .02

i'm not looking for a family four door truckster.. loose two of your doors then we'll talk. in the meantime.. the g35 sedan forum is just a few clicks away. At least you have a nice.. safe.. practical car. enjoy!
