This really shouldnt be hard at all. I feel as if most people will go this way. Reason being, most G35 coupe owners have either loved the G37 or felt that they wouldnt trade their car in. I think their decision is derived more from the fact that they cant justify spending more money on something similar to their cars. I can understand this, but put a new G37 and G35 in front of them and I bet 8 out of 10 would choose the newer vehicle, the 37.

Hmmm... BlackOutG? Does price really matter to you? I'm absolutely positive that you can get thousands less for the 07 G35 coupe as compared to the MSRP (or markup) price of the 08 G37 coupe. If it isn't really a big factor... then just take a look around these forums and look at all the videos and car mag reviews of the G37. As Edmunds put it in their review of the G37... "It's an obvious step up from the G35 (coupe) it replaces."

Edit: Don't let anyone choose the car for you. Look at pictures (I know you can't really judge a car's looks by its pictures but with the G37 not out... there's no other way) and see which car you like better in terms of styling. Exterior is like 50/50 but interior seems to be in MUCH favor for the G37 (quality, layout, design, and overall "aura"). Performance between the two vehicles seem to be the same but according to some reviews... they say that the G37 has fixed several issues that the G35 had and they say that the car is more refined. The G37 has the latest technologies also.

But anyways... check out this site and compare both vehicles for yourself... and also remember... the PRICE!

I really hope this post comes out to be objective because that's how I intended it to be. Also... don't rely on the poll much... it's better to get actual valid opinions instead. Just me .02 because I believe a lot more people will be biased towards the 07 G35C but not give the benefits why (and no one dare even talk about looks because that's completely subjective). The price though is a definite hands down for the 07, since it's the outgoing model.

Probably could pick up an 07 at a great price right now. The G-37's will be in high demand for awhile.

I agree.. if you're already an owner of a G35, I would personally be quite happy and i dont think i'd upgrade to a G37.
But as a potential new (MT) owner w/ hindsight, im basically sold on the 2 main points:
- improved clutch engagement
- improved engine (not only from a performance/efficiency aspect, but in hope that any oil consumption issue is resolved.. this one is important to me)

Get the G37, you already have a G35. I don't see why anyone with cash for either would even consider buying an older model car. Sure, the G37 is heavier and less sporty, but unless you care about shaving a tenth off your quarter mile or whatever the heck you crazy track guys are doing these days, buy the newer car. You'll be much happier in the long run.

Poll is even at this point......12 votes each!

I voted for the G35 but it wouldn't hurt to have a G37 when they come out.
Someone's bound to put out a front end that looks better than the OEM. I'm
never satisfied with any car I've owned and "Always" change a few things.
The G37 wouldn't be any different since I have moditas....Ouch!

Betweeen the 2 choices I say you gotta go with teh 08. Improved all around for a minimal price increase.

If he was in Canada... it would be improved all around for a minimal price DECREASE. I doubt though that the US will see a similiar price decrease... but who knows? Infiniti could surprise us all... it's a dream for now.

Well, depends on the price difference. Right now Infiniti is running a promotion on the G35C at 299/month. I am guessing the G37 will be at MSRP for a short while before the hype dies down so the price difference (similarly equipped) between the G35C and G37S could be $5000+.

I prefer the G35, but the G37 is definately more refined and up to par in class with its competitors.

Biggest downfall of the G37 is its weight. I can care less if it still handles better than the G35 from stock. The bottom point is the lighter vehicle always has the edge on potential for better handling.

I'm a tech & performance freak; so im guessing many don't follow my point of view in the real world. But here, an enthusiast forum, im sure many understand

Hate to say it to all of your G35c owners, but when the G37 comes out all the G35cs will begin to look outdated. Get the G37 dude and be happy with your decision for the years to come.

Have you seen the pic comparison between the two? If so, you will know the G35 will not look outdated.

The fact is, the G37 is an evolution from the G35; not a revolution.

From a distance, I think it will be hard to tell the G35 from the G37 with the exception of its front.
