im not looking for a car to mod the crap out of thats what my G35 was for im looking for a car right out the box to shut it down on the streets and the g37 nor the 335i do that for me.. THE AMG ON THE OTHER HAND GETS ME EXCITED IN ALL THE RIGHT SPOTS HAHA

also consider waiting on the new evo x but i would def mod the crap out of that.. im gonna convince the wifey to get it tho.
I heard Infiniti had their eyes set on the C63 AMG when they planned the G37.

I agree that it is one hell of a car though. But in reality shouldn't be in this thread.

When the g37 comes out, the modding will thus begin short after (a year or so) then things will be alot different. Once the people that get em next month and start taking photos of it in their driveways etc. Different colors and all that, threads like this wont ever be created again. We are all just bored, its the same on every forum b4 a new car comes out

lol @ at the 335i... 10.2 compression ratio for a turbo motor. yikes.

the g37 is awesome, regardless of its goals. who can ask for more for less money? if nissan replaced the crappy paint, i'd reconsider this car.

That's interesting. I see this on lots of forums (including the BMW). I think it's everybody's paint.

I can only speak for my G35, but the paint was crappy insofar as it could not withstand even a small impact from a twig without scratching, and to make matters worse I had black which magnified every imperfection. It got to the point where I had to take my car to a professional touch-up guy on a regular basis to keep the car looking good, and for what's it's worth his opinion was that Nissan doesn't do a good paint job on their cars. I asked him which company impressed him since this guy has a contract with virtually every car company in the area, and he thought that the paint jobs on Acuras and Porsches were about the best. He put GMs on the bottom and Nissan in the middle.

You would go from an 07 M45 to a 335i?......Even a diehard BMW fool wouldn't do it.

Even with these 4WAS road tests, your looking at 0.6-0.8 sec improvement. Engine is now smooth (remember all the articles about how truck-like the 03's were?). Transmission is now smooth (how many battles did the 1st G lose because of it's shifter vibrations and poor clutch feel?). Huge interior improvements (take a close look at the interior materials of your 03 G - the cheap materials were mentioned in every road test). Less road noise (I needed ear plugs to drive my 04 on the highway and even at low speeds). More technology (the new NAV system is light years ahead of the old one, backup camera, bluetooth, music box, etc). Comfortable seats (how many times have you wanted to rip the seat controls out of your car?). Basically, this new G37 takes every aspect of teh old G and improves on it. Every short-coming has been addressed. All that and almost the same price. It sounds like you really like your G. You'd be doing yourself a disservice to not give the new G37 a try. All that it hasn't done is "beat the BMW" in every road test. If your car buying choices are made on that one criteria, that is sad.
03 G35 6mt is a 0-60 5.5 sec 14.0-14.2 car....please get it right

The numbers are ugly in every category except price. We all know the G35 was better than the 330- then BMW ups the ante and Infiniti folds. I'm so disappointed. Even those fancy new 4 piston imitation Brembos can't beat the BMW brakes. What a disgrace. My 2003 6MT may be a bit luxury challenged (center stack with titanium paint before they started using real aluminum), but when my friend with his 330i six-speed coupe and I test drove eachother's cars a few years ago, there was no argument over power, speed, brakes, curves, throws, and style. He knew I had him, and he paid almost $9K more! My '03 6MT is a Z with Brembos and a back seat for my kids, but the G37 is what exactly? It's a compromise representing Infiniti's cowardice- having challenged BMW and then backing down. With 50K miles on my '03, I may start thinking about trading in for an 07, which I bet they'll be dealing on soon to make room for the '08's. At least the G35 stayed true to it's mission. Some of you guys can put on a happy faces, but I dare any of you to honestly tell me that your heart didn't sink with disappointment when you read those numbers. What a shame.
I agree with u 100%. I guess my next car will be a BMW, If i ever give up my 2004. First gen G35 was the best BMW competitor and i don't think any one is going touch BMW again.

LoL , yep i took the 335i for a test drive few days ago and i really felt in love with this car , the power the handling and the feeling was awesome , Actually am a diehard Infiniti fan and i was considering the g37 more but i really care about the performance and i thought the g37 will perform better. am not saying the g37 is not a great car , it is a great car but the lack of performance is killin me. The M is awesome and drives really good but i need a sport car so its either i exchange it with the 335i or the g37.

I agree with the OP. The G37 is a disaster.

It used to be that we buy the G35 because it looked gorgeous and it could beat any BMW and Lexus in its class. Now you buy the G37 because it is more affordable and luxurious?

The G is no longer a stud. Now it is just a facade. All show but no go.

All of us should be switching to the 335i. It is truly the king of the road and the G37 is the queen following behind it.

I think that is the reason most people bought the car.
