Note 2: I Applaud your enthusiasm for the new G37! You can overdo it a bit, but I understand your excitement to a "T!"
I didn't get my first car until I was **25-years-old! True, it is, since I'm one of the really OLD Geezers on this forum (and others). Rode a bicycle all through High School, but learned to drive on the family 1940 Ford V-8 at age-17. Did some stretches in the USAAF, Army Reserve and National Guard, then six years of college, then a job of sorts. I'm now semi-retired from assignments with newspapers, magazines and Telecom research publications, working as writer/editor/proofreader and windowasher.
Here's the good part: **Got my first car! A 1952 MG TD (well-used) in British Racing Green with lighter green leather seats. How I loved that car! Side-curtains and all! Talk about EXCITEMENT!!!! ++++
Anyway, here's wishing you the best of everything with your new G! I'll be getting mine (IP, with all the goodies except Tech.Pkg.) come next May-June. when the lease on my 2005 S2000 runs out. Who said Old Farts can't have fun!??!
Oh, BTW, I still have excellent vision, solid reaction time, etc., AND I drive the North Carolina, TN and GA mountain roads whenever I get the chance. Have 'done' "Tail of The Dragon" four times now: in BMW 328is, MR-2 Turbo, VW GLX and EP3 (last gen Civic Si).
Yep, I DO know how to drive like Granny going to the Supermarket, but manage to VTEC the S2K often. When I feel any slippage creeping into my driving skills it will be time to hang up the Jock Strap... er... I meant the Ignition Key! (Intelligent OR otherwise)
