Wow, I think this is the market Nissan/Infiniti is trying to move away from with the G37. I can't speak for anyone else on this forum, but that is no where close to why I ordered a G37.

Really? Then why did Nissan/Infiniti bump the HP from 280 to 330? What is the need for it? Why do you need 330 HP? All you need is 200 HP. That will get you from point A to point B.

You think car companies make sports coupes so people can drive responsibly? haha you are so, hmmm, delusional.

Why do they make sports sedan? The word "sports" infers fast. Why would you need to go fast? Driving fast is not driving responsibly and can cause accidents. It's obvious the car companies are encouraging you to go faster and faster with every increase in horse power. How is this moving away from the "market" of people who want to race?

You are the minority. I'm speaking for the majority. The majority of the people care about performance number. Hence, you see them talk about it a lot in this section. That's all i am trying to explain. I don't see what's so funny about why people care about the performance numbers.

Infiniti bumped the HP from 280 to 330 as to compete with BMW's 335i. I believe that the BMW made the 335i as great as it is because of the G.

Car companies DO NOT make sports coupes for people who break laws. Driving fast but within the lawful limits isn't wrong. People like you need to get off the streets.. geez.. if everyone had this kind of attitude there would be sooooo many more deaths on the streets. The luxury sports coupe department isn't a market for people who want to race. You are NOT speaking for the majority. You're just pissing me off so much. You seem very young and immature. You'll grow up and learn; it just takes time.

i kind of agree with both sides. I would be understanding their argument that it's more about seats, stereo, and other fluff in the car. but just the fact that infiniti bragged so much about their new engine and how powerful and efficient it is set my expectations to a level they could not meet.

yah maybe it's not all about racing, hell i'd go for a subaru or some **** like that, and it's not ALL about interior and other fancy features coz i'd go for a mercedes or a bmw or even lexus, but i do expect this car to be an improvement of the previous one on all the levels it used to be good at.

i remember one of the reviews said the interior was a 100% improvement from the old one. well how come you put that 100% then you offer 0% improvement on *some* features (and i mean performance)?

Most people buy G35 coupes simply for the joy in driving it. The experience, feel, styling, performance. It's not all about racing others... you ______!
You are again in denial. Why don't you make a poll on how many people own a G35 coupe and have never raced. Racing infers you either have raced against another car or you have exceeded 80 mph at least once.

If more than 50% say yes, then you are right. I will apologize for my judgement. Otherwise, you will apologize for your childish remark and name calling.

Ok, time for you to do your homework now.

yimbie just relax man. stop defending infiniti in every other post. just like calm down, you dont have to reply to every post. look, every car has imperfections so dont make it sound like the G doesnt, because it sure does.
people arent here to "**** you off" but they're here to vent due to disappointment.

in other words enough anti-racing crap already

Ummm... making a poll about this is a little hard considering that WHERE you post your poll makes a big difference. It's a little hard to get every G owner's opinion on this considering that they're all over the country.

Homework?? Summer?? I'm not starting my summer AP work until next month... ugh the dreaded Beowulf...

haha you're in denial also. How is bumping it to 330 HP compete with the 335i. You wanna make a bet which car will be faster on the streets or track? How can you compete with something you can't keep up? Ridiculous. It's already a fact that a lot of G35 owners have gotten the 335i. I wonder why.

Obviously, you have no common sense. You don't see that by having more horse power than necessary, car companies are encouraging you to drive fast. How can you drive fast and be within the lawful limits? Obviously doing anything 65 or under is not fast. So doing more than 65 is fast and is not lawful. And I'm sure you have exceeded 65 mph in your car, therefore you have committed a speeding violation. Thus u are no different than a street racer. You have endangered many lives. I will gladly stay off the streets if you would do the same.

You are just pissed because you are not speaking with a clear mind, but you let your emotions clouded your judgement of what reality really is.

wth? Every car does have imperfections... I have never said that the G37 was absolutely perfect. If you can find anywhere to where I think the G37 is perfect... please post it for me. I even gave the G37 a 92% under my stats. That certainly isn't perfect to me.

I'm sorry if I'm against illegal racing. Legal racing is perfectly fine for me... nothing wrong with that since it's legal.

Umm... I dont have to make on which the G37 or 335i is faster... the 335i is obviously faster... there's sound evidence of that. If Infiniti's goal with the G37 was to be faster than the 335i... then why didn't they just add in a V8 engine with 400hp and 400lb torque? That would make it faster...

My brother is getting the 335i because I'm getting the G37. He doesn't want to get the G37 because I will be getting it. He doesn't want to own the same car as I do; siblings do want to be different from each other.

I perfectly agree that a lot of G owners have gone to the 335i but who knows what exactly their reasons were? People have many different reasons for buying a car. It's the same thing with the G37... I have different reasons for buying it than others.

There is a difference between driving fast and driving within or very close (the police don't pull you over if you're going no more than 5mph over the posted speeding limit in SoCal at least). Driving 70 on the freeway when the posted speed limit of 70 is lawful... unless that's illegal too. I dont know how I can commit a speeding violation if I go the posted speed limit. That logic doesn't make sense to me.

If you want to drive fast, race, whatever.. do it on the track where it's legal.. I have absolutely nothing wrong with that.

No man, im not asking you to make a poll of everyone in the country. Just people in G35Driver who own G35 coupe.

Like i said, if more than 50% said they have never raced and never exceeded the speed limit, then i will apologize. Otherwise, you will apologize and attend a Manner school.

Deal?

Haha, you are one funny kid. Ok so you're saying that you have never exceed 70 mph in your car? Do you even drive a G35? Ok let's make a poll, how many people in G35Driver.com never exceed 70mph in their car.

If 50% or more say yay, then you are right. I will respect you. If not, then you are just a kid.

Ummm... did you never catch what I said about G35driver.com being only a tiny % of the total G-owner population? *sighs* Making a poll on a tiny % is useless... especially on a G ENTHUSIAST site...
