Man, that's rough. The car is greatly improved - you're giving it a bad rap.

Umm.... Why would I keep my hopes up? If you have been reading my other posts... you should know that I'm perfectly fine with the numbers they posted since performance isn't a big thing for me. So I'm not disappointed with the current reviews from car magazines.

Infiniti has been disappointing us?? Who's us?? Are you including me?? All you have been doing is criticizing the car...

I'm perfectly happy with the G37, if you have been reading my posts.

I was impressed by this too. Can't wait for this car to finally come out!

I completely agree. He has been criticizing the car so much. I think he's jealous and so that's why he's attacking the car, but hey we'll never know.

insignificant improvements except for the interior. from the 3 other mag reviews i just read my understanding is the G sedan can out-perform the coupe

Maybe in straight line acceleration. The sedan, however, isn't getting anywhere near the slalom or skidpad numbers of the coupe, IIRC. So, outperforming the coupe? I'm not so sure about that.

doesnt matter. my point is the HUGE improvements they've been bugging us about arent really HUGE, coz of the HUGE increase in weight

One truth is that the sedan is supposed to get the updated transmission (which is a big plus). The new 3.7 is also less "harsh" compared to the 3.5. I wouldn't say the improvements are minor from the old coupe (I can't see how you could say that) - but if the sedan picks up the new transmission and engine of the G37, they will probably be on par with each other.

What's wrong with a sedan outperforming a coupe?? According to Motor Trend, the 335i sedan outperformed the 335i coupe... is that bad?

He just hates everything about the G37 (except the interior of course; no one can argue that). Jealousy! That's my conclusion.

If you are only looking at 1/4 mile times compared to the new 07 sedan then you are correct. Much more than that has improved elsewhere, especially compared to the old coupe - Better shifter, smoother engine, better clutch, improved handling, no more annoying noise coming through the car from the road, much better technology, etc. How can you ignore these? They were the biggest issues with the car.

Anyway, I respect your opinions although I disagree.
