That sounds realistic. The 335i has been out for about a year I think and they're not negotiating a whole lot...

If the demand is there, I wouldnt expect a deal on the 7 right away.

Why do people post this crap? Who cares what some salesman at some infiniti dealership said? 95% of everything they say is complete bull****, so who cares?

I agree but I would raise the percentage up to 99%. Most salesmen BS so much that I'm not certain that they can even tell the differance between BS and the truth.

I remember test driving an M3 several years ago, and during the test drive I asked the salesman if the M3 had cross drilled rotors. The salesman immediately replied yes since he probably thought that was the answer I wanted to hear, but he wasn't smart enough to realize that it was something that I could easily verify. As soon as I got out of the car I checked the rotors which were easy enough to see with the 19" wheels and sure enough the rotors were not drilled. I was going to bring it to the attention of the salesman, but I figured why bother. He was probably selling vacuum cleaners last month, and he will probably be selling furniture next month.

Like I said in another post. My time frame for this car has been pushed back to Feb-March. My dealer is not getting in a G37 with my options on 1st deliveries and with a factory order, I was told, would take till late sept possibly Oct for delivery, I'm not about to transition into a 330hp rear wheel drive coupe right before snow season. Esp sense my current car is front wheel drive with 163 crank hp. I'll put that thing into a tree faster then I can fill the gas tank. He also told me, he would prob be able go under MSRP by then. Not by much, but he said maybe a grand or two. Too early to tell. I wonder if I can find someone to get VPP though?

From what I see, a lot of people fighting each other to get their hands on the G, for the first few months, all cool and stuff but not everyone able to hold on the G for few years; either it's getting expensive on the service or looking for something new. For those who are 03-04 models, if you still have your car ever since, I would say "you're the best". So no need to worry about waiting list or lottery options for the G37 because after few months, there are plenty to choose with reasonable prices. Unless you have too much green and really want to have the first G37 in your block...for few months before trade in for something else!!! I like the G35 and I wouldnt' trade it for any other...am I hardcore G35 guy, a little bit! LOL

I was told it will be $1K above current Coupe and a fully loaded G37 6MT (prem, nav, tech) would be $41K but not to expect any discounts until late spring 08.

I hope that's not going to be the case with all the dealers around here as I'm planning to test drive in August and make a deal in the fall. He also said that all 188 dealers are getting a maximum of 8 cars in August and that he's getting ready to place the September order next week. I don't know if this is just all talk but thought I'd pass on here.

According to initial reports, Infiniti has improved the 6mt on the G37. Supposedly more refined, so I wouldn't say they are the same car except for the 0.2 liter displacment. There are supposed to be alot of improvements with the G37.

The 6MT on the '08 sedan is also supposed to get this updated tranny. I hope so. That was a really big turnoff for me. Weird lag on every shift! What is that??
