G37 your DD or nice weather/weekend car?
So will you be using your G37 as a DD back and forth to work, gym , friends etc or will it just be used for those nice days and weekend driving?
I have a DD currently so I will need to make a decision also

i drive my G35 as a DD.. shoot, i drive it like my old civic / beater..lol. dont get me wrong, i take good care of it, but i dont see the point of using it as a weekend car. i bought it, so why not drive it? it's just a car.. and not even that expensive of a car at that.
if i get a G37 or bmw 335i, i'll still drive them like i do with my G.. what's the point of hiding it in a guarage? i have a beater suv for the winter but i drive my G almost all other times. i bought it why not enjoy it i never understand those who hide their Gs and only drive on the weekend... its NOT a Porche or Ferrari.. drive it. the value of a car like this will only go down as time goes on, no use for it to sit there.. drive it.

DD.
If someone has the luxury of having 2 vehicles, I think the G37 would be a horrible weekend car.
I live in a downtown condo, so I only have 1 garage space. If I lived in the suburbs, I'd get a Honda Fit and something SPORTY like a used Boxster S or M Roadster. G37 is a compromising vehicle.

a little of both....
i'll still have my Prelude and 4x4 Ranger for winter. For the summer, i mostly ride the CBR600RR... so G37 will be for long trips that i can't use my motorcycle for or when its raining... I will just make sure it doesn't sit around 2 much...since i actually like to drive my cars/bikes.

Why would it be other than a DD car? The only cars normally reserved for the weekend are either too uncomfortable to be a DD or are extremely expensive and the G37 doesn't fit either of those categories. A Viper would be a car that I would reserve the weekends.

The new G37 will be my DD. I have a 2005 S2000 that will be replaced by the G. Only have a one-car garage. Here in Coastal Georgia a garage is a MUST! Not only because of wind-blown sand and crud, Heat and Humidity, but we have Seagulls, Herons, Pelicans, Pigeons, Crows, Turkey Vultures (Buzzards)... well, you get the idea..
BTW, we don't have too many of those rotten Love-Bugs that plague certain areas of Florida. Those things destroy paint if they're not removed in a hurry; ....least that's what I hear from those who drive in "Love-Bug Country."

It will be the DD for 9 months or so and then packed away for the winter with short drives to keep the fluids flowing. I'm not big on equiping a warm weather Rear drive car with snow tires and beating myself up trying to drive in a straight line through slush.
