G37 your DD or nice weather/weekend car?
#18
If I can land the new 37, I will use it as my DD- even in the winters if its not snowing. The plows up here get out and clean up really fast these days, so even the day after a big 15+ inch storm, most roads are good. I have over 110K on the current 10 year old DD, so it may stay on for winter duty, or I may get a used truck for the bad days and spring hauling. Thats a lot of cash to part with, so I had better get back to work!

In the spring/summer/fall I ride my bike GSX R750 to work as much as possible...My G like my current M will only come out on weekends, or when I'm too tired to ride my bike. I have a 1998 Dodge Avenger for rain and winter.
BTW I know this is way off subject but for Dodge to make the Avenger basically a Mini Charger is sickening to me. Back in 98 those avengers were sweet and curvacious looking. So when I hear some of you complain about the second generation G37 I just laugh. At least it didn't turn into a breadbox on wheels. Another reason I'm done with American cars...Except for the Vette of course.

DD for sure. I'll more than likely invest in a dedicated winter setup (18"rims + snowtires.. not sure whether 17"s will fit? Of course if conditions are terribly bad I think I can sneek my sister's CRV out

SO tell me how much Tornado Insurance adds to your Homeowners policy?
I would rather deal with winter white then the black of an angry squal line. I used to live in Lawrence KS when I went to school, and that is some real nice hail you can get from those spring storms. 1 storm dented my ride with over 100 hits, looked like I parked next to a driving range, even the hard metal on the hatch was dented. It was 1 especially stormy day.

^^He may be a smart azz but your the dumb azz man. We are not in the friggin tornado alley down in Austin & Houston Texas. We may get the occasional Hurricane but Tornandos are infrequent as are Hurricanes. I'd rather deal with a little wind and rain every FEW YEARS than shovel snow every friggin day for three months every friggin year. TEXAS FTW!

From the looks of things below, you are way 'friggin' off on your own state's data. I was not pointing out a part of TX, just the state as a whole...
Compared with other States, Texas ranks number 1 for frequency of Tornadoes, 1 for number of deaths, 1 for injuries and 1 for cost of damages. Between 1950 and 1995 had 5,722 tornadoes. This ranks the State number 1 in tornadoes by State. Texas had 478 fatalities between 1950 and 1995. Compared to other states it ranked 1.
FROM 1950 to 1995:
Tornadoes// Deathes// Injuries// Cost Adjusted
5722 // 478 // 7554 // 1,986,918,400
Avg/year// 124 // 10 // 164 // 43,193,872
