Sounds like some dealers are either playing games or are restricted by their size or status.. dont know.

no one wants to fall victim to any games and we only have so much info backed from Infiniti that the serious buyers have placed their orders and are waiting.
we still have until july until pricing comes out but from my own feedback i've been getting 10-15 new buyers asking about the G37 each day.... the deposits are coming in but it will vary on supply availablility from each dealer.
the worst thing i want to happen is people waiting till august and expecting to drive off in a new G37 the same day -- it's not impossible but the reality is first come, first serve... almost like the PS3's when they came out

I will be very patient and make sure 100% this is the car for me before buying it. It would be crazy of my part to drop this much money without test driving it or even knowing how much it will cost (No offence to others who did that, it's just not me). I've kept my car for a long time, like my Dodge Stealth which I still own and enjoy after more then 10 years. Hopefully by the time I make up my mind, the hype will be over with, if not I'll just wait longer or until the 09 comes out. I know I know, I'm crazy but not in any hurry to remove this much money from my bank account in one shot . Heck, it's even possible I won't like the test drive and go for something else.
BTW, I'm pretty sure I am a salesman worst nightmare . I know I have the upper hand as I'm the one with the money.

The dealer close to me informed me that they are only getting a black on black for the aug delivery. If I want a fully loaded 6MT IP, i'll have to order it, and it prob won't be there in Aug. Esp if I want the active steering. I'm prob stuck till late sept or oct. At that point, it's time for snow. I might wait till late winter early spring, to avoid the hype and snow. Bad time of year to release a performance rear wheel drive coupe in the east. In my opinion.

order manager at my dealer was kind enough to follow up with me regarding this issue... listed below is the blurb from infiniti corp. interesting details about allocation in there as well.
I found this in the batch, I think it answers your initial question. As you have the Tech it still would not affect your order.

Dear Infiniti Retailer,
In a letter dated May 15th, we announced that due to production and supplier sourcing issues, all G37 Coupes
ordered with Navigation package (U01/NAV) would not contain the RearView Monitor feature from start of
production (SOP). The only way to get this feature would be to order the Technology package which itself was
limited in volume.
We are happy to announce that this issue has been resolved, and vehicles ordered with the Navigation package
(U01/NAV) will receive the RearView Monitor effective with the June 18 SOP date. However, in order to get this
resolution implemented from SOP, we were forced to limit production of Navigation package (U01/NAV) for
June. As a result, some of you will receive credits when the scheduling process is completed. These credits can
be applied from June production. We were also successful in getting additional Navigation packages (U01/NAV)
for July production to mitigate the June shortfall.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue. Should you have additional questions, please contact
your DOM or National Distribution Specialist at your earliest convenience.
