G37 Soundtrack
What is the first song you G37 owners will play when you drive off the lot?
I have to be careful, I do not want to get a speeding ticket on the way home. It's funny how a particular song can instantly increase your traveling rate by 20 mph, easily.

Funny you mention this. With every new car, I have a song ready to go. I'm still undecided at this point when it comes to the G since it is a few months away from that first ride.
BTW, bringing a CD to the initial pick up is a good idea to check the stereo system upon delivery.
This has me thinking of something else that might gat a smile or a "hum, I wouldn't have thought about that" from you guys. I have a GF who leases her cars every year or two. She only drives high end models (Porsche, MB, BMW, Aston)...anyway, she times her lease turn in / new model pick up around her cycle for various reasons.

Wow, I am glad to hear I am not the only one who was trying to figure out the first song I would play when I pick up my G37, I just thought I was a total freak!! Right now I am torn between "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence/ "Faint" by Linkin Park/ or "Sandstorm" by Darude (trance techon song), but it makes me do bad bad things.

I took it one step further than trying to decide which song to play.... I bought a compact flash stick last month in anticipation!
I haven't put any mp3s on it yet, but will put a little bit of everything on there and take it with me once we can test drive. The salesman will think im crazy, but i like to be prepared. Of course this means i will be gettin the SOW system =p
I'd like to play some underground hip-hop.... maybe a lil prodigy. Or... and i'm sure the OP will agree with me on this... music from Initial D! That music is banned from my car now tho, cuz i will easily be doin 20+ and changing lanes to the music =(

But i think we cannot transfer from the CF stick to the 9 gig HD directly. In the 07 sedan, the only way to get mp3s onto the HD is by putting an actual audio CD (not mp3 disk) into the in-dash cd player and ripping it from there.
Of course a burned audio CD-R will be ok, but I wonder if it can read from a CD-RW. That way i wont hafta waste so many CDs gettin 9 GB of music on that thing! I'm sure someone will find some hack down the road to transfer from CF to the HD.
I learned most of this from readin the 07 sedan forums, but maybe Canuck can chime in about wether the system can read audio CDs that are burned onto a CD-RW.
