I personally don't think the G37 is going to hurt the "enthusiast" crowd whatsoever. In fact, I think it will only make it get bigger. I think that with the upgraded interior, lots of new techno gadgets, and a great price, you'll see a whole new wave of enthusiasts that are first time Infiniti owners. I've seen this happen first hand with the new Sedan the last 6 months or so. The amount of first time Infiniti owners in the 07 Sedan section the last number of months has been incredible.

 

I feel alot of people will change ther minds when they actually see it in person .I personally want a upgraded interior, engine, and stronger body rigidity.I love my g35 coupe but i will also like the new one!

 

Ok after carefully checking both cars the front ends are definitely different. Hood on the coupe has more curves and front looks more agressive.
Still prefer the design on the G35 for more subtle, less crowded lines.
Did I rattle anyone?

 

Even though it doesn't look as good as the G35 (IMHO), I think the G37 will be a good seller because it doesn't have any competition near its price other than the 335i (the G37 still looks better than the BMW), the tech gadgets, upgraded interior, value, etc.

 

The G37s interior alone is enough to upgrade from the G35. The G37's interior is in a different league than the G35's interior. The G35's interior reminded me of the old nissan pulsar interior, while the G37's interior reminds me of the M45 interior. People can debate all they want but the simple truth is that the G37 is a better car than the G35.

 

"Better" is an opinion. Opinions are should not be considered facts or truths.

I love the interior, I drove the 07 sedan as a loaner and the dash and steering wheel is pretty much what will be inside the coupe as well as the seats and such. I'm not a nay sayer, as I have posted positive feedback on the G37. I have the oldest coupe year vintage 2003, it's been very reliable and fast and I'm not willing to trade it even if I could. This baby is staying put.
And for the one who said infiniti will never be classics, my 89 Jeep Comanche will be a classic in 8 years, I'll just have to wait 21 years for the G.

ummm..... yeah you are way off base. The car is completely redesigned, and is sooooo much better than the sedan. Sorry chief.

 

If it isn't better then Infiniti has failed. I'm not sure if being better or not falls under the “opinion” envelope. I've seen people use ridiculously stupid reasons to justify something as being better. An opinion within itself can be unsubstantiated. Someone can simply say that, in their opinion, the G20 (Yeah that’s right the G20) is a better car than the G35. Just because it’s somebody’s opinion, doesn’t mean that it is valid. Screw individual opinion, I'll go with what the general consensus is.

Of course the new model has to be an improvement from the previous one with more power, more legroom for your legs (Donnie Brasco).

As far as the interior, performance, and everything else that isnt questionable, ofcourse its better.

But as far as looks and other subjective matters, it's all opinion.

By the way, the G20 to the G35 is was an enormous leap compared to the G35 to the G37, obviously. So, although I understand your point and agree with it, that was not such a good comparison
