vibrant red vs black
Im thinking about putting in my preorder for a g37. Only thing is i am unsure of what color to get Black or Vibrant red. The thing that keeps me from crossing vibrant red is the cost of premium insurance and the supposed theory that red cars are looked upon the most by cops. Im 16 and planning for this to be my first car. im not looking to get any tickets. Those of you who have a g35 in red or red car period, what do you think are the stories true?

GC is right on with the insurance, but the law definitely will watch for you more. I have owned 2 red cars and I got more tickets with those than any other car I have owned, and I drove them the same as all my other cars (and believe me I've had a few). Red is one of my favorite colours, but I can't afford the tickets .

damn thats young... i got mine when i was 18. Red is a good color i heard about the stories too. I went with the lakeshore slate. Red is a lil flashy, this new red is crazy flashy lol. Good luck with your decision and drive safe when you get her!

16 and getting a 300 HP car, and your worried about the color attracting the boys in Blue????
Forget it, your foot will do more to gain the attention of the radar gun then the color of the car ever will.

I agree with all of what the other board members have said...however, you did have a question.
Red is a very noticeable color. At your age, that may be something that you want. I, however, do not always want a spotlight on me when I drive. This is why I personally chose Black. It is classy, elegant, and also has the ability to be an eye-catcher when clean. That being said, as an owner of a black car, it was hell to keep clean.
The red will be lower maintenance in that respect. I think the 37 looks great in Vibrant red, but I dont think I can ever own a red car. It is the kind of thing that I will admire from afar.
Red will be seen less. I do think there will be many more black cars on the road. But there may also be a reason for its popularity. Let your personality decide.
Then again, at 16, you are still evolving.
Hope this helps.

Not a good idea to get such an expensive car at 16.
I hope you the best, but I feel really sorry that G37. Almost everyone, especially at that age, will have an accident that could have been avoided with experience.
If I were you, I'd get a beater until you get enough experience within the first few years.
Goodluck!
