I wish you luck and safe driving and I also hope that you appreciate the hard work and effort it takes to purchase a 40k car at any age. At the very least please tell me that you have to pay for your own insurance and gas.

getting a G at 16? dont want to sound like a jerk, but learn on a beater car first. your more than likely to get into a car accident at that age. i drove on a beater car until i finished high school..

anyways....red is a little too flashy, but easier to keep clean than black. i chose black for classiness even though its dedication to keep it clean. its up to you though.

if you do get this car at once..my advice. be careful in driving. when i was your age, i got into about 4 accidents before i got my G. ever since i got my ride, i haven't got into any accident. good luck on your choice and everything.

I never said i wouldnt make the mistake of getting a ticket. That is possible at any age and yes at 16 can be more likely and the same goes with accidents. I am just making the point that Infiniti has made a car with great performance and so that is why we are considering such a car. believe me i am not perfect but i think i have the power to restrain from doing such things even tho i may be tempted to do so.

anotha:

yeah i said the same thing just like you back when i was 16. im glad i waited til a later time to buy the G. no one doesnt have power to restrain themselves from doing such things like speeding and what not. especially for your age? your going to do it. trust me man...i thought i would be able to restrain myself from driving fast when i had my first car (2000 honda accord v6 sedan). i drove that car to the limits. getting a G at your age is a wayy too powerful car to even start driving in. minding you, i had to learn to drive in trucks/SUVs, then a passenger car. and i still say im not perfect, im still learning more; understanding how to drive this vehicle still. i dont even drive as wild anymore like back in the day. just drive in a beater.

your going to take this new G for granted and not thank your parents. it annoys me how kids like you are given to you like its nothing. do you even work? you know how much insurance is goign to even cost you for being 16? imo, your going to beat this car to death....then when times comes..your going to b**** at your parents saying that you want a new car. not to offend you and everything. everyone has to learn on how to earn everything rather than having their parents just give it you just like that.

random.....DOMO <<<< this is f***ing awesome.

I hope you the best, but I feel really sorry that G37. Almost everyone, especially at that age, will have an accident that could have been avoided with experience.

If I were you, I'd get a beater until you get enough experience within the first few years.

Goodluck!

.
I got my 06 g35 at age 16.. no crashes..no tickets..no nothing. No close calls either

I think by having such a nice car, us "young guys" really value it and take care of it a lot more than having a beater

just my .02

Greetings. I personally think that Black looks better. I do not really enjoy the Infiniti's red as compared to Lexus' red, which is much darker. I'm thinking of maybe getting an black Infiniti G37 Coupe or monaco blue BMW 335i Coupe.

From reading all these comments, I will say that I'm 17 yrs old and this car will be my first car. I've been driving in my brother's G35 Coupe and mom's Lexus GS430 and the power isn't difficult for me to handle. It isn't like I push the cars to their limits and turn into a crazy, power-hungry teenager. I'm not a STEREOTYPE , or... at least I don't think I am. From all those stories about teenagers not being able to control a high-power car and crashing them... you must also consider what those teenagers were like. I have met several teenagers that have high-powered cars and go out and go drag racing. I have also met several teenagers that have high-powered cars and just drive casually. My friend Dinavie, for instance, has a 2007 Lexus 350 that cost her parents approx $44,500 and she drives like a mature adult. In my opinion, it's not a matter of if a young person should be allowed to drive a 300HP car (it would be a different story if the car was like 500HP), it's a matter of if a 300HP car should be allowed in the hands of an irresponsible young person. For me, driving my brother's G35 and my mom's GS350 is not really difficult (of course it was difficult when I was first learning how to drive though). I value my safety and for the safety of others and I'm not power-hungry. I plan to either get a 335i Coupe or G37 Coupe mostly based on design and luxury. HP and Torque (which I should say am a little disappointed in the G37) is second. Thanks.

OH no, i havent made a final decision yet, but this forum website has changed my 3 choices from is350, g35s, 335i, to g35s, g37, and 335i, so yea more infiniti

im like 40% bmw 35% g37 and 25% g35s now but u will see it has changed from an earlier post. that is because not only does the g37 have performance, but when you drive casually or just want a relaxing drive, theres loads of technology to play with. the 335i yes has elegant styling but sigh..... the interior is crap, all you get is basically SPEED.

im a sophomore in hs so i have loads to do and many places to go during this summer, and dad is always always busy so i need my own car the hyundai is actually a beater for my sister and i. Sigh..... the g37 might come too late and i am not placing an order because i must see it in person!

i mind as well get the new audi tt 3.2 roadster (250 hp)

i remember when i was young and impulsive.

i'd say black, because at your age, red just MAY attract more police, and one ticket and cause a large spike in your insurance premium.

btw, it's "MIGHT as well", not "MIND as well". just got a little annoying after seeing a couple of times.
