For Current G35 Coupe Owners
Based on the other polls and threads so far on the new G37 coupe, it's safe to say that reactions are definitely mixed and that the exterior design of the G37 has not met the expectations of a significant percentage of us (myself included).
It's not my intention to bash the G37 any further or to re-hash what has already been passionately debated and posted on the other threads. However, I'm curious to get some feedback on how the design changes of the new coupe will affect potential repeat G coupe sales. I started this thead and posted this poll merely to see how many CURRENT G35 coupe owners will, will not, or are considering trading in their coupes for the new G37.
This is a public poll. ***ONLY VOTE IF YOU ARE A CURRENT G35 COUPE OWNER PLEASE***

I need to see it in person first before I decide to trade in my G Coupe. Then I can make up my mind. But if I had to answer now, I would trade it in because I think the interior got to me.

Hmm... the results are interesting so far. It looks like the nays have been hovering around 50%. But I'm beginning to wonder if those who are voting "No" could/should be divided into two groups...
If I had to do the poll over again, I'm thinking maybe I should have offered these two vote selections instead for those who would vote against getting a G37...
-No way! I don't like and can't live with the exterior changes in the G37!
-No, because I have invested too much in mods for my G35.
What do you guys think?

What do guys think about my last post? Would that have been a more fair and accurate poll/survey of current G35 coupe owners?
Any other feedback from current G35 coupe owners about trading in for the G37?
Anybody thinking about the possibility of doing an engine swap and putting the new engine in their G35?

I voted undecided but I'm leaning strongly to no since at the present time I don't see anything that would make me incur the additional expense of a new car. I will buy a newer model for one or both of the following reasons: great new styling and/or a substantial performance up-grade. Although I don't hate the G37's styling, it certainly isn't enough to make me buy it, and the performance of the new G will be an upgrade over the G35, but it's not enough to get me excited. Maybe the car will look better in person than in pictures and maybe the car will perform better than I expect, but both are long shots IMO. So I suppose it may be time to take another look at the 335, but man the styling of that car doesn't excite me either.

Actually was in the market for a new car... trading in my 05 coupe for the next gen G (reservation and all, was going to pay MSRP too... no way in hell now)...
Was all hyped up about the new car and when it came out it was just ... well thats nice.
It's a shame, I liked the Infiniti G35 years before I purchased one and knew for a coupe grand more over the 350z I was getting a lot for my money. This is the magic and it still exisits... however the new car is just blaa, interior may be miles ahead... but the outside is what people see and i dont care for it.
the G37 made the below par looks of the 335i decent looking... enough to justify the purchase. Which is the direction im heading.
shame but true

While the G37 isn't quite as satisfying as my fantasy, it's still years ahead of the BMW 3 series coupe design. I have to admit the new turbo 3L I6 is very appealing as well as the new hardtop convertible option. Boring design doesn't go well with 'sport coupe.'
Save the money and buy a roadster in addition to the G35 Coupe is probably the best option for us right now. The Solstice, Miata, S2000, Z4, TT are all nice looking RWD roadsters with a livable price tag. (make that Z4 used and we're good to go)
