I feel the same way you do DIESEL...this is the 1st time ive noticed the 10 inch speakers on the doors so thats a plus, but from your pictures that integrated chrome spoiler makes it look hideous...ill judge tomorrow.

I got up this morning drove up from Maryland to take a look. Before I give my 2 cents I'd like to say that Parking in NYC is absolutely ridiculous. Oh yeah...The Car!!!
I gotta say Back in 2003 when I went to the NYIAS I'd pre-ordered a 350z a month before. One look at the G back then and I knew the Z would be short lived. I loved the car. However I'm not a G37 basher but I will say this...It didn't give me the "WOW" like I had back in 2003. The car looks great from certain angles but other angles look like it's just missing something. This car is absolutely screaming for a front lip spoiler and the rear mud guards...THESE are must have...Also, the chrome spoiler....get the other oem spoilr they plan to offer. The trunk looks smallish due to the creases on it...IMO the Bumpers front and back arent lengthy enough. 330 horses and being able to save 3k songs, touchscreen Navi, nice brakes and a supermodel look from the sideview save this car from totally being a failure for me.
I walked back to the parking lot to see my M35 on a lift and as they where taking it down I realized, the wife will love it when I pass it on to her.
I still think with a front lip spoiler, rear flaps, 20 inch wheels and a drop...add tint and you have yourself a winner. However it's not going to make you feel like it's 2003 again. It didn't for me.

I think what is throwing me off at least is that the G35's looked like no other vehicle. You can tell a coupe from sedan 50 miles away. You can tell a coupe apart from any other vehicle on the road from 100 miles away. The new coupe blurs the lines between too many vehicles. Not to mention the new poor man's G...I mean the altima (Not bashing, just saying).

Love the engine bay (very well done), and the interior is a nice improvement although not sporty enough looking. With the better financial shape Nissan is in now compared to when the G first came out, I thought Nissan should have done more to differentiate the interiors. The Coupe's interior should have some sporty features the sedan doesn't have.
The exterior is simply too fussy (chrome strips belong on Buicks, not G's) and has a melted candy bar look.
The only way you can get a G37 to look good is with some aftermarket items like the front bumper, wheels, and lowering it.
Stock G35's need nothing from the aftermarket to look good.
I think by the time, say the '09 or '10 G37 comes out, it will be improved by then and look better, and I may even wind up buying one. Or, if I can afford it, Audi S5 for me with a V8.
