Regarding the G's looks
I went to the doctor's office this afternoon for an allergy shot, and parked my G next to my Doctor's silver 996 turbo. We all know what a great performance car the turbo is, but parked next to my black G, the turbo looked really blah. I checked out his interior and even that looked blah since it wasn't all leather.
After returning to my car, I saw three teenagers standing near the two cars and I thought they were checking out the turbo, but as I got closer I could see that they were checking out my G. When I approached my car they barraged me with questions like how much HP does the car have , how fast is it, etc. They also raved about how good the car looked and how much they loved the wheels.
Anyway I thought this was amazing since they all but ignored the Porsche. I think many of us forget what a great looking car the G35 is, and even if the G37 may be a notch below the G35 in visual appeal, it will still be much better looking than the vast majority of cars on the road today.

The G35 is viewed pretty high in that aspect. The G35 is sexy, point blank. I think that there are some ugly a$$ cars out there, but they are fast as snot! Do you think we would look at Porsche the same way if from the beginning they had always been known to make slow, quality cars with not much performance in mind? I think people mostly look at cars such as Porsche, cause of what they are and their history, its a Porsche (performance stongly in mind), I don't think its solely on looks. I also have seen another G on the road (while driving in the CR-V) and people almost break their necks to look at the G, but just merely glance at the 911 on the other side of them. If the Ferrari Enzo wasn't fast, do you think people would still be in awe, or would they call it gaudy? I don't know who has seen Fantastic Four, but you have to realize, with all the cars in the parking garage scene, a G35 Coupe was grouped in there?

My main point however is that the G is a drop dead gorgeous car, and as 05Scoobyroo pointed out not too many people would give a Porsche a second look if it didn't have a rich performance history.

Oh sorry but quick story. I own a pizzeria in the city, and usulayy I will wait for a parking spot to open up right in front. So the other day, as I am waiting to park, a spot opens up right in front, so I proceed to park. All of a sudden about 6 or 7 kids come up to the car and start lookingbat the rims, inide and out. Once I get out of the car, they realized it was me, and most of them know me from the pizzeria. They all said the usual, can I have your car, I love it, this and that. But the one that caught my ear was one little kid saying, "When I get older I want to work in Zesty's". OMG, I was dying, thats the name of my place. It was soo funny to hear that I couldnt stop laughing, haha.

it's true alot of ppo do break their necks to look at the G's... i do it all the time myself but i see sooo many G's on the road (scottsdale, Az) and i see just as many porsche's, SL500's, and at least a lambo or ferrari everyday here.. its ridiculous.. to top it off, they surprised me when they look at my car and im next/near these wonderful vehicles.. it makes me smile
