Motor Trend Review
Motor Trend has their review online as well. Hope this is not a repost. Here's the link and a piece of the text. Anyone familiar with this brake manufacturer? Also, no more Michelins - Dunlops (Base) and Bridgestones (Sport) now.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...8_infiniti_g37
Raising those bars even higher are the G37's chassis enhancements. As with the G35 sedan, the G37 coupe uses an FM platform that's 36 percent stiffer than its predecessor's and a revised front suspension with single-pivot lower control arms. The biggest differences now between the coupe and the sedan lie within trim equipment. The base G37 coupe uses the same suspension settings, 13.0-inch brakes, and 16.4:1 steering ratio as the G35S (sport) sedan, but wears 18-inch wheels wrapped in 225/50 Dunlops and will not offer a rear limited-slip differential. Further, the G37S offers the LSD and an available six-speed manual and four-wheel steering like its sedan counterpart, but takes it a notch higher by adding stiffer springs and dampers, larger anti-roll bars, a quicker 14.7:1 steering ratio, 19-inch wheels with 225/45 front and 245/40 rear Bridgestones, and an Akebono brake system that supersedes the previous Brembo unit. Infiniti touts the rotors-14.0 inches front and 13.8 inches rear-as the largest in the segment and doesn't shy away from bragging about the four-piston front and two-piston rear aluminum calipers, either.
But brag they should, as not only are the brakes stellar-exhibiting excellent response and pedal feel and no fade-but so is the car as a whole. In tandem with the extra body rigidity, which is noticeably more robust from behind the wheel, the G37's reworked chassis delivers superior ride compliance, NVH isolation, and motion control compared with the G35 coupe's.

And people put way too much emphasis on 0-60 times. 2 tenths of a second? No one would notice that difference. 0-1/4 mile times are much more telling.

minor correction. No driving impression from MT? That's odd, they spent a whole day out in Arizona desert smoking burnt tires and all they can review on is the Infiniti press kit? Come on guys~ What are you guys paid to do anyways?

even you look at 1/4 mile, 335i is a KILLER in that regard as well as 0-60.. or any performance statistic you wanna look at.. thats why everyone is hoping the new 3.7 can take them straight up. now, straight line, i really doubt the G37 will be able to outright beat 335i, but it will be pretty close.. unlike the current or the newer version 3.5, which is still outperformed by the amazing 335i motor. shoot, even IS350 is killing everyone with their new fount delivery of power (mostly because they can actually turn off the traction control now.. and that's what has been holding the older IS350 back.)
i'm hoping the new G37 can (and should) hold itself against those two as well as outhandle them.
look at the sexy wheels and brakes.. god, those brakes are to kill for.. so beautiful!

Here's the website of the brake manufacturer:

Motor Trend says "previous Brembo unit". Brembos have not been included with G Coupes since 2004!

And, in my opinion, both are too heavy. The TT is 3218# with the 3.2 V6 and AWD (according to Edmunds.com) -- I am not sure why either the 3 or the G needs to be 300-400 pounds heavier.
Let's also not forget the next Camaro is rumored to weigh in around 3650. Same weight, with potentially 100 more tq and hp. I know it will still have a crappy interior, but performance-wise, I have to ask why the G is so heavy.
For me, weight plays a big role in determining road feel and around-town fun, and that is even more important than the performance benefits.
