It's the design/look of things to come...
R8

and already here...
RS 4

Not exact, but similar. Very euro, Volkswagen too.

Sounds like they've taken the current VQ35HR and stroked to 3.7
Yeah...I'm curious to the hp too with only .2 liters more than the current 3.5HR.
Probably old news, but read they left room for more gains on the TT for tuners....nice! More boost, no doubt.

Agree...
Headlight design could have been better, imo.

I think the back fenders could curve down towards the front a little more. And I haven't decided if I like the fact that the cockpit looks like a cockpit yet.

This months issue of MotorTrend has a pic of '08 Coupe and indicates it will have same engine as '07 sedan (306 HP). It's on pg.66 and the Coupe (aswe all know) looks gorgeous!

Nice pic of the R8. I really like the looks of that car. The only concept car that I think looks really "clean" is probably the new Supra and a few of the new Audi's. (After they showed the concept Audi in iRobot? I knew that Audi was heading in the right direction). All the other concept cars are not very pretty looking, however, I still think the Infiniti is one of the better.

I read a magazine at my public library that already has driven the new GT-R. I assumed you guys have read it already but it does 0-60 in under 4 seconds and quarter mile was at 12.3. It was pushing out 450 hp. Not bad. But a lot of the new concepts in the price range are all pushing out 400+ hp.

I don't really understand what the big deal is of the 335i. The specs of the car are a 3.0 liter engine that displaces 300 hp, 300 torque. It's good but I mean you certainly paid for it. Performance wise, it is barely faster then the E46 M3 b/c of it's torque. I heard it feels faster though.

But the G35/350z's current VQ35HR engine which is 3.5 liter displaces 306 hp (according to the new ratings). I don't know the numbers that well but I am sure even the '07 350z can definately match the performance of a 335i.

Not only that but they are now going to put a 3.7 liter engine it should definately be enough to beat the 335i. I actually think the 335i needs to get even more slightly bumped up to stay competitive or they can just release the new m3 which supposedly has 400hp.

I am not saying that the 335i is a bad car. I'm just saying it seems a little too hyped up for me.

You can't be serious, and BTW ignore the published HP rating on the 335 because it's BS. Ain't no way a car that heavy will go that fast with 300 HP. The 335 will run 4.8 in 0/60 and 13.4 in the 1/4. Please refer me to some published report that quotes that kind of performance in an '07 350Z.

We bought my sister a 335i coupe, and I was the first put it through its paces. The 307 HP better be at the wheels for infiniti, if it wants to be competitive. I think that is adequate to describe the situation.

of course, it cost 10k+ more than my 05c 6MT, but it was also much better equpped.

If it ain't broken then why fix it.

Remember G35's formula for a moment here. The benchmark for the original 1st gen G35 Coupe back in 2002 was the previous generation (E36) BMW M3. Infiniti suceeded in the mission of building a car very comparable (or superceed) the performance of the last generation M3 with a sexy skin and price tag lower than a BMW 330.

If Infiniti stick to the same formula, the new 2008 G35 Coupe should match the performance of the E46 BMW M3 at a very reasonable price. To that end I think Infiniti will aim for at least 330hp on the G37 Coupe this summer.

330 HP especially under the new standard would be good enough for me. I'd be buying.
