G Coupe or 350Z
#19
I never seen any similarity between the coupe and the sedan. g35 looks better to me than a 350Z thats why i got the 2007 Coupe and not the 350Z.
Having 2 cars coupe and sedan will actually look nice, sedan for work, family and then you switch off to a sexy coupe and go have some fun in it.
Im planing to buy a second coupe, 6 speed and do twin turbo on it.

I also test drove an 06' coupe and it feels so similar to the sedan. However, I cream my pants when seing a coupe and I don't have the same affection to the 350. This is a tough decision.
I'd like to stay away from BMW and Mercedes cause I believe they are the devil Maint. on an Infiniti is expensive, I have heard that BMW and Mercedes are worse.

I had a twilight blue '04 coupe for myself and then got a lakeshore slate '05 sedan for the wife. When my '04 got wrecked , I replaced it with a diamond graphite '06 coupe without hesitation.
So, I don't think it's weird to have both. I like the fact that I can get into the wife's car without having to adjust or refamiliarize myself with a completely different car. JUST DON'T GET A COUPE IN THE SAME COLOR AS YOUR SEDAN! That WOULD BE weird!
It's sounds like you're in love with the G coupe's styling over the Z, as I am. Here's a suggestion that may help you decide... If you're in no hurry to get the "3rd fun car" and are willing to wait... the new G35 coupe that comes out this spring or summer will have the new higher output motor and will offer a convertible hard top.

I was waiting like many (actually al) of you for the new G to come out. Pissed me off that they decided to wait another year. Not pissed in the way that I will not buy a G coupe...just let down.
I put off getting an 06' cause of the new G...now I got to wait for the 08'?
Hopefully it will arrive soon, that way I can make an educated decision. On the flip side of things, this is more of a "pre-kids" deal...and I can't put the wife off much longer.

from research you will find oil changes will be fully covered... every 15k miles.
and if you want to pay for an oil change it will cost 120-200. and thats just the tip of the iceberg.
while the 4/50 is nice, they just add the extra cost into the car.

I am a Huge fan of the z cars so much so that I bought the z roadster. Since I have modded to death and absolutely love the car. After I purchased the z I saw a silver G coupe and was blown away. I thought to myself, WOW that is the nicest looking car out there. Back to your question, if I already owned a G I would NOT buy another one. IMO the coupe is a lot nicer looking than the sedan, sorry. I would entertain the ZR but your wife might get in a S2k or another ride and like it a lot more. Plus it's nice to have variety!!

What's your budget?
I would get a 2 seater convertible. Here would be the order from least affordable:
1. Boxster
2. BMW Z4
3. S2000
