And for all you "it's too heavy" naysayers, who says it has to be glass? A Vette-style lexan (or whatever) section would be great, and may even weight less.
Besides, let's be honest here, it is a pig already, how much extra would it weight anyway, and how would that really effect daily driving? After all, it is meant to be a good looking luxury cruiser, not a sports car.
That being said, I doubt it will happen. But, if they bring out a drop-top, that would be a nice alternative.

I'd like to see this car as light as possible!!!
Plus, it's not just the weight, but where the weight is added. ^-up high-^
I remember when I tried the DSG tranny in the Audi A4, it has a large *optional* glass roof section that extends over the back seat.
It looked but IIRC, the added weight was not a minor thing.
Some of the added weight was due to additional steel structure;
not just from the glass itself.
I do agree the look is
& one benefit would be more headroom vs. traditional sunroof.
From the people I talk to.... it's about 50/50 that it will happen; we'll see

We can debate all day I suppose but to me the G coupe is not a luxury cruiser. That distinction would be more for something like the 5 series or M Infiniti sedans. The G coupe a true sports car.... no. I think Infiniti has it right calling it a sport coupe.

It would suck in a rollover, but convertables don't offer any more protection. Safty glass doesn't due too much damage to you. I went through a safty glass window before and didn't get cut. It's a pain to get it all out of your hair though. Not to say you can't get cut from it, just not so bad. I like the wow/coolness/bling factor.

New Coupe =
- No glass roof
- Regular side view mirrors
- No crease down the front
- interior will be virtually the same as the sedan (as it is pre '07)

Oh yeah, most dealership don't have a clue about the new coupe so I wouldn't waste time asking them. I would expect more official info will be out in January during the Detroit auto show.

Speaker arrangements will differ, but the system will be the same.
It would be nice if they added a full integration iPod port though
