2010 with 136,000 miles
Found out why my g37 bounces around so much ! I need new front and rear shocks/struts.
Went to the local Napa auto store and purchased rear shocks that were supposed to be for my vehicle, but they weren’t all the right ones and I’m not sure why maybe if anybody has had this issue could you please advise me where to purchase ones that are correct for the G3 seven convertible 2010. Do I need to get them from infiniti/Nissan dealership?any recommendations on where i can order ones that are quality but not insanely expensive.
can anyone estimate the cost to have a shop do this work. It seems like a big job .
also, Is the g37 equipped with a jack and spare tire ? It looks like there isn’t room.
thanks for reading and replying

In the sedan, the spare tire is located in the trunk under the trunk mat/carpet.
Regarding replacement shocks and struts for your convertible, I'd go with KYB Excel-Gs as they are designed around the factory sport dampers and KYB is a primary ODM for most Japanese makes.
Use their website to find the right PNs, then check their Amazon store as I bought dampers for my G35 in this manner: https://www.kyb.com/products/excel-g/
The convertible is tricky as I was only able to find the front struts, no rear shocks:
340092 Front Left Strut
340091 Front Right Strut
I suspect that the rear shocks are the same across all models, despite the increased weight of the convertible.
You may want to call an Infiniti dealer as well to verify. Have them give you all 4 OEM PNs with pricing, then check online to see if you can find inventory. The KYBs will be the most cost effective route.
Looks like Z1 has a listing for the rears, but they are pricey: https://www.z1motorsports.com/rear-s...a3f21d060edc33

I have KYB and it has been great, I purchased them from RockAuto. They have better pricing there, and you can make warranty claims if anything ever happens.

First, the suspension. Here are the OEM part numbers for the shocks based on a VIN for a 2010 Convertible:
FRONT LEFT: E6111-JJ52A
FRONT RIGHT: E6110-JJ52A
REAR, L & R: E6210-JJ52A
OBVIOUSLY VERIFY THESE P/N's AGAINST YOUR OWN VIN before BUYING!
US prices run all over the place so you would have to do your own price hunting. Overseas they are $98 ea. +/- (so, <$400 for all 4 corners (but shipping might make that cost prohibitive)).
Aftermarket options get limited because of the rarity, complexity, and WEIGHT of the 'Vert. Some catalogs suggest that pieces are interchangeable with the Coupe while others do not even address the 'Vert. I can find NO OEM interchangeability (for shocks) between the two, however. Unless you are wanting a performance upgrade I would stick to OEM or the KYB offerings that rockauto.com appears to list- at least with rockauto or amazon if the pieces don't fit you can return them.
As for the spare tire...
G37/Q60 Convertibles did NOT come with a spare tire or jack from the factory. There is very little room and the extra weight just makes the Titanic heavier still. There was a OEM kit that you could have purchased from the dealer that included a bracket, tire, and tools. This article from infinitig37.com explains the kit. However, after all these years they are likely gone though you could probably scour eBay or other pull-a-part sites and get what you need. (off topic: the lack of a spare is the biggest gripe I have with my Zed/4...damn BMW cheapskates).
Hope some of this helps.
