okay so I have a 2010 g37 sport convertible and I'm looking to get new tail lights but the problem is that when i look online to find some to buy they are all for the coupe or sedan. I've asked a lot of different sellers because on eBay it says "fits your vehicle" but in the questions someone will ask if they fit convertibles and they say no only coupes which doesn't make much sense because they are coupes as well but wtf do i know? anyways any suggestions on particular websites or tail lights?? I'm a newbie with g37s so any help would be greatly appreciated
Simple answer: you need tail lights specifically for the 'Vert. Coupe and 'Vert tails are different.
Long answer: While ≈90% of the 'Vert is identical to the Coupe, once you get past the back seat it is a entirely different beast.
A quick visual comparison and you can see the two are not the same. Not only is the trunk lid different (which is why the spoiler is not interchangeable (BTDT)) but you can see the 'Vert tail is more curved at the top:

I would not trust eBay or Amazon's "catalog" as they are highly NOT reliable especially when it comes to the 'Vert. Just visually compare the listing and ask the seller to confirm fitment.

Are you looking for a OEM replacement, or a aftermarket/ custom set?
For OEM (used) your best bet is eBay.
You will not find much aftermarket love for the 'Vert. The car only serves a very small, niche market and wasn' t overly popular no matter how much we love it here. Not to say it is totally neglected, but just harder to find certain aftermarket items.
Now that jpcustoms is going out of business, I do not know anyone who customises tails (180nyc, maybe?).
yeah i was looking for aftermarket but ill get oem if needed. someone broke my driver side tail light so if oem is my only option its not bad but was going to just get aftermarket since im replacing one anyway. It is what is is
