Vert Top Hydro Issue

Searched all over these forums trying to find a cheaper answer to my issue.

I have a 2011 G37S conv with 65K miles. The top stopped working last week. Took it into dealer and quoted me 4400.00 for the hydro lifts. Said they were leaking fluid everywhere. They checked everything else and said that had to be the problem. Since it would not go back up, they charged me 130.00 to manually put it back up.

Can this be done aftermarket or does anyone else have a similar experience? Seems to be this should not be happening with 65K miles.

Thought I would provide an update. I had the dealer do the repairs on my top. Hydrolic top pump was bad. They ended up giving me the part for 2800.00. Labor around 400 dollars. My truck struts were also bad and they had to replace those for 600.00. So right at 4 grand to get my top working again. 2011 S model. The dealer told me that they never see this happen.

I read somewhere on here about the seatbelt issue. It was hitting mine hard and scratching up the door panels something awful. I have a black on black car and my door dings on the side were just embarrassing. I quoted them the TSB someone listed here and they replaced my seatbelts on both sides and put brand new door panels on my car. If you have this issue and need to have it done, they will do it even out of warranty as mine has 71Kmiles on it. New seatbelts are SO much better. No issue and brand new nice door panels.

Yeah a lot of money just to get the top down but that is why we own these cars.
I still get that sinking nervous scared feeling every time I put the top up or down. Wondering if it will go back up and not freeze halfway and leave me stranded. Dealer assured me everything else was in proper working order.
