G37 Convertible Spoiler - opinions needed
I have been thinking about having the spoiler installed on my Black 2010 G37 Convertible. I agree with the majority of the forum members who think it is a great improvement to the look of the car.
My concern is that Infiniti has stopped manufacturing the part. I am considering buying two spoilers, to have one as a backup in case I get rear-ended and have damage to the spoiler. My service rep confirmed that if I have the spoiler installed by the dealership (they want $300), there will be no issues with the factory or the 8yr/120k mile Elite warranty plan I purchased. I do plan on keeping the car at least until the warranty runs out (which will likely be around the 6.5 year mark).
What do you guys think? I think the safe move is to NOT add the spoiler. Though after looking at all of the pictures of the convertibles with the spoiler, it really makes me want one...
Thanks!

I have a 2010 convertible and had the spoiler installed by the dealer about a years ago. I had the aero kit installed when I first bought it. Same as you, I hemmed and hawed about doing the rear spoiler. It changes the look of the rear of the car. IMO is makes it look more aggressive and wider. It is a great enhancement to the look of the car, especially with the aero kit. Just do it, you will ask yourself why you waited so long.
