So really, there was only one minor issue with the brace... How long was the install? It looks great! Looks like they may just include some spacers for the brace for the vert models.

Looks SICK!! So all we need to do is purchase the coupe version and get some spacers for the bracket? ARK, are you planning on making any major changes to this exhaust for the vert or are you just going to include the necessary spacers? I am ready to purchase this exhaust TODAY, I just need to know what the deal is. Thanks!

So it looks great and it fits if you add a few washers to the brace. That's awsome. Dose it do anything other than make it sound like a rice rocket? What kinda power gains are we talking about?

I have this exhaust on a coupe and it definitely doesn't sound like a "rice rocket". It gives it a very deep, throaty sound. closer to a muscle car sound than an import car sound. I personally think it is the best sounding exhaust for the G37.

It hits the brace and will either wear a hole in the exhaust over time, or have a terrible rattle. I had an issue with my 350Z where after they installed the Twin Turbo it hit a brace and it was a terrible rattle on decel.
I assume..they knew this wasn't going to fit if it wasn't the one they released for a VERT specifically.

seems like ark knew about the problem with the brace even though they didn't seem to acknowledge any previous experience with it when i was there.
i just hope the washer solution will hold up and now break anything later on. only time will tell.
and yes, the car sounds awesome.

hmmm that's funny... My shop actually didn't even bother removing that black brace on the bottom while putting the exhaust on! The simply slid it over the brace and tightened the bolts... from what i've heard/experienced so far... no rattles or anything of that sort....
And yea.. the right side does sit kinda awkwardly now that you mention it... If you look in my original post... the second to last picture, the right side doesn't sit as perfectly as the left! Dunno what's up with that... but it's all good... looks great... sounds great... feels great!

well... ark didn't remove the brace either. they also slid the pipe over the brace to install it. the problem comes after everything is tightened. that pipe pretty much rests on top of the brace.
and yeah... the right side sits awkwardly. the left side is better. weird huh?
