Did you follow the DIY or is there an easier way to take off the ****, as I'm guessing you didn't mess it up.

Auto **** removal is just a twist - manual just requires 2 hands and a little effort but both are very straight forwad.

^ what cvipgo said for the removal.

The plastidip is done, I may have to do some very light touch up where it meets the leather (after peeling off the painters tape), but otherwise no more unsightly peeling will be seen.

The other mod is for the button for the top. That's seen it's fair share of wear and tear.

prep

nearly ready

tape off, which I initially forgot to do for the middle area of the button.

all taped off

leaving this overnight

Don't wait till morning to disappoint yourself, peel it in 1hr it'll be as dry as it could get by then.

Just get the button warrantied.

LOL, nice pic there. I'll take that advice Thanks.
Oh, I don't think the button is under warranty, but I'll ask on the next visit.

Scratched door panels. Not under warranty. The non black trim piece is what I'm referring to. After the seatbelt retraction fix, those scratched panels (due to the loose seatbelt) were not replaced. The service mgr said it was not covered for replacement

I soooo would like to get that replaced for free though.

The scratched door panel are covered.. call Infiniti Customer Service or go to another dealer. Anthing scratched from seat belt buckles due to retraction problem is covered... my dealer told me.. I didn't need as I had been careful since day one ... seat belts in Infinities don't retract out of the way (experience with 7 Infinitis I30 T, QX4, G35 Coupe, FX35, FX45, G35 Sedan and G vert now...) and have tendency for seat buckle to get caught between seat side and door
