Just curious what the lease offers for 6MT verts are. Anyone recently get a quote? The dealer gave me one that was too good to be true...

Post up the details & I can crunch the numbers & advise if it's a good deal.

They offered me $434/month for a 2011 6MT vert (that includes the $1,000 Infiniti Loyalty discount) for 24 months, 10,000 miles/year with $1,500 inception (1st month payment, taxes & bank fees) not including plate transfer.

I'm not too worried about he mileage. I just don't want to sell my car, let them run my credit, and then they try to do a bait and switch on me...

That's solid man! Lease deals on Infinitis are usually pretty good due to the residual value factor on our cars. The better the residual value (assumed value in the future when the lease is up), the less depreciation you have to pay on the car, thus the lower the monthly payment.

How about this one. I had a 2008 Infiniti G35X that I leased back in the beginning of 09'. Went in a few months ago for service, checked out the G37 Vert. Went home, determined my "payoff" amount on my current lease was around $21,000. Checked online and saw that 08' Gs like mine were listed for around $28,000. Went to my dealer, asked my saleseman to run quotes for me assuming an early "trade-in" of my leased G with upgrading to a leased 11' G vert. Came back that they would give me $24,500 as a trade-in on my 08' (this paid off the entire 08' and left me with $3,500 in EQUITY towards my 11' G vert!). Walked out of the dealership THAT DAY with a new 11' G Vert with no money down and my monthly payments only changed about $80! ........... BOOM! Infiniti Lease Deals are sweet :-)

If I really wanted to, I could have sold my 08' on my own and got even more money out of it to put towards the 11', but hell, the lack of any effort on my part was worth the extra coin.

^ how much did you originally put down on your 08 lease ? That's a very nice cushion you had.

That's the crazy thing! I only put down $4,000 when i bought my 08' G. So by selling it and low balling the market I would have most likely gotten back all of my $4,000 and maybe even a little more. But even by going the trade-in route, I got most of my $4,000 back! It's all about the demand of an AWD G with low miles in the Dayton area. I guess it could be argued tht I paid for some miles in my monthly payment that I didn't end up using (but even there, I was within a couple thousand miles of where I should have been at that point).

The reason I thought to do this was that we did something similar with my wife's Mini Copper S a couple years ago. We were due to turn it in in 2 months, I got the payoff amount and sold it as a used car on my own for a couple grand above the payoff amount. Actually made a PROFIT on a leased car! People think all leases are garbage..... it's not true (and believe me, as a financial advisor, I'm VERY money conscious). Depends on the car, the company, and the market.

Most car companies require you to pay out the rest of the monthly payments if you turn a leased car in early, which would be completely stupid as you would be out the $$ without the use of the car. The higher end companies like Infiniti and BMW, etc. allow you to either "trade it in" or pay out the monthly payments. But you can ALWAYS sell it on your own and pay the lease company the payoff amount.

That's amazing, sorry to get off topic but I just had to ask. I honestly believe you that's just shocking to me. Your vert looks nice in the avatar.

^^ it's all good, actually most people I tell that story to just can't believe me either as leases have such a "bad name". But it's the truth!

Thanks about the vert comment. It actually looks NOTHING like that anymore as I have done several mods to it over the last couple months (wheels, paint work, tint, etc..). Once I get my springs on and a new fresh wax, I'm gonna have my photographer buddy meet me in the industrial areas of Cincy for some professional pics. Will post up when I have them, been sort of stealthly waiting to bring it with the new pics! haha
