everytime i see a g coupe/convertible on the street, especially at night, i try to figure out if it's a coupe or a convertible by looking at the tail lights.

has anybody else noticed that in the coupe, the tail lights don't make two complete circles? there's one missing LED in one of the circles on the coupe's tail light. on the convertible, there are two complete circles.

while on that topic, are there any vert owners who prefer the coupe tail lights over the vert's? i personally like the vert lights a lot more. what does everybody else think?

 

I don't even notice other G37's on the road unless they are right in front of me.. Guess I'm the odd one out then.

 

i also noticed that my coupe is missing an LED or two.


while the vert has 2 perfect circle.
i also noticed that the LED's are totally different(rectangular style bulbs) in the verts.

 

coupes have the satellite antenae on the roof... thats how i tell the difference from behind. but the lights are a good way too.

 

From behind, I look at the antenna. From the side, I look at the roofline.

 

i just look at the backend, especially the rear bumper diffuser area is completely different.

 

Just the lights as the op said. That's what I see first. Full led circles ftw!

I see very few G Verts on the road although NJ appears to be the Vert capital of North America however, I look for the goofy trunk mounted antenna vs the roof mounted unit.

 

taillights for me, I love the verts tails better due to the full circle. maybe am just bias cause i own one
Sometimes I purposely walk towards the end of the car just to glance at the taillights

Wonder why they made the tail lights different? The vert's taillights look much better on the G37, hands down.

 

probably because of the changes to the trunk lid due to the top.
