Thumbs up Compliments to a dealer

Had my car in a parking lot on Friday. Felt like hurricane force winds. Opened the door and lost my grip. Wind took it and flew so hard I was sure it would rip off or at the very least, buckle the door/frame. NO visible damage!
However, the door was not closing correctly. I assumed a bent/broken pin or something. How hard to fix? What might it cost?
Went to my dealer today. 10 minute adjustment fix and NO CHARGE!!

I love my dealer. It is too bad how many guys have "stealerships" in their area and hate going to them. Once again I left a happy (and relieved) camper.

Agreed...good story. I hate my dealer so much that sometimes I forget there are good dealers out there. Thanks Shane!

So refreshing to hear something positive about a dealer! My G37 is still fairly new, haven't taken it to the dealer yet for service. But they were so great throughout the purchase I'm crossing my fingers that they keep it up.

I'll make a rant of the day .... we try to go beyond for some of our clients... spend hours to program bluetooth phones, show how to use the detailed voice recognition adaptation mode, pick up car for service (or if their wheels get stolen), body shop repair, etc etc....

and there are those who will complain about the smallest things that the dealership isn't accommodating.

I'm sure for those who own their own businesses on the forums would not want to go through any bad talk about their own business. I don't work for a huge organization that owns tons of stores -- this is the owner's bread and butter because he chooses to.
I take pride to give it my all to everyone but some seem to ruin it.

Ok rant done

Smile Another rant?

There are definitely good and bad dealers. I hear TONS of bad stuff about the local BMW dealer. I have shopped them twice. One good experience and one bad. Local Mercedes is 0 for 2 with me.
Infiniti has been great to me for just about 5 years. My M35X had one problem: Grounding wires. Took them two tries to fix it. Second time my battery was dead, I was pretty growly. My sales rep went into his office grabbed his (personal) keys and gave me his car for the day!
A year or two ago my battery dies in my key fob. I dropped by my dealer and they replaced in about two minutes at no charge!
Little stuff like this is HUGE with me.

I do own my own business and I realize that great service is rare, but to be honest, so are rational/appreciative customers. Everybody wants stuff at or below cost AND top notch service AND freebies.

OP - Glad you had a great experience!

Kenny -
That is what makes you successful at what you do! I wish all employees would behave as if they owned the business - the world would be a much better place!

I also believe that what comes around, goes around. If you treat people squarely, you will be treated squarely. Miserable people are miserable for a reason and it is because they CHOOSE to act miserably. think about it!

B, so true.

We have owned 7 Infinitis since 1993 and currently we have 5 Infinitis in our house hold which is a proof of how well we have been treated by our local Infiniti dealer and had great support and response from Infiniti service center.
Never had an issue that I could not resolve with Infiniti dealer.
I have had them do free out of warranty repairs more than I can count.

We have a great dealership in Regina too. I got my TPMS sensor installed and they left it outside for the weekend (I got a loaner for the weekend) and the tires loss some air so the tpms light came on... brought it back and they filled it up. after filling the tires, the battery died so they checked the battery. Now they're giving me a free battery AND an oil change because I had to come back. Even the service manager came out to apologize!!

Overall, The only thing i had to pay for in the service department is an oil change and tpms sensor install (which I also got 15% off because they couldn't install it the day i was scheduled. Not a big deal cuz I had a loaner) thus far... everything else has been free or under warranty which has been a lot. All the service guys says i should apply for a job there for how often i'm there.

That's great, get a job there then you won't have to pay for any service and you can solve the seat belt issue - right?

Two things.

One; you're right, miserable people act miserable in an attempt to bring everyone else down. Misery loves company.

Two; life is full of "self fulfilling prophecies". Approach anything with a positive attitude and generate a positive result. Approach a situation with a negative attitude and...

da mayor....Thanks I have bought two cars from my local Infinity dealer. The second because of the great service on the first. That was the deciding factor between the G37 vert or a BMW. Now the funny thing is in-between the Infinitys I bought a Lexus and the service department was inferior. The Infinity and Lexus dealerships are owned by the same person. Does Infinity give it's dealers more flexibility to accommodate a customer.
