alignment specs for the 2009 vert? got the 2009 coupe alignment specs instead
So there are a ton of threads on alignment. None mentioning the vert (hope this does not get moved) and non mentioning the 09 cars (and possibly 10 also). In any case I asked what the vert alignment specs should be from my dealer and got some faxes sent to me.
I got the docs from the coupe FSM for relevant pages on the front and rear suspension.
This thread what helpful to compare with the 2008 specs.
https://www.myg37.com/forums/brakes-...h-springs.html
The alignment front specs are the same, however the rear is different for the 09 coupe (I suspect the same 09 coupe specs go for the vert since I did not get any vert specific info).
Attaching the rear specs.

no one has the vert's spec yet i dont think. but when i got the springs put in, only the camber was off by .5 . that guy has alot of things wrong if his caster is moved also as mine did NOT move at all. other than Camber, NOTHING else should change.

Ok, so I got the drop today. Pics in an up coming new photo thread. As is relates to alignment this is the before (with just getting the coupe springs installed) and the after alignment with the coupe springs.
I did not think to see what the stock alignment specs were before getting the springs installed.
rear wheels
left rear camber before -3.0 deg. after -2.9 deg. (range should be beteween -1.8 and -0.8 rounded up)
right rear camber before -2.3 deg. after -2.8 deg. (range should be beteween -1.8 and -0.8 rounded up)
my rear camber comments/questions: Well these results are jacked up!!! Should the rear toe be adjusted to lower the negative degrees of camber and without a camber kit?
Should a camber be be required or just a better alignment place?
Definitely need some help with this one. I don't want to be eating through tires so quickly event with 3000 mile rotations.
left rear toe before 0.15" after 0.09 (range should be between 0.00" and 0.12")
left rear toe before 0.02" after 0.12 (range should be between 0.00" and 0.12")
my toe comments: Seems could go up to 0.22 " on both left and right rear toe
The 2009 coupe spec (rev oct 2009) doc shows 0.22 inches for toe max
Rear total toe before 0.17" after 0.21" (specified range is 0.00" to 0.23")
Rear total toe Comment: not worried about this. I'm in range.
Rear thrust angle before 0.13 deg after -0.02 deg (specified range is 0.00 deg to 0.23 deg)
Rear thrust angle Comment: slightly out of range. No worry?
Front wheels
So as I understand it not much can be done about the front camber? Overall I am not concerned about the front. Here are the specs and my comments.
left front camber before -1.5 deg. after 1.6 deg. (range is -1.2 to 0.3)
right front camber before -1.4 deg. after 1.4 deg. (range is -1.2 to 0.3)
Front camber comment:So my frot left camber is higher by a small amout and out of spec by .4 of a deg, No
issues there I think. Agree or disagree?
left front castor 5.3 deg before and after (range is 4.1 deg to 5.6 deg)
right front castor 5.2 deg before and after (range is 4.1 deg to 5.6 deg)
front castor comment: So i'm within spec here.
left front toe 0.07" before and 0.03" after (range is 0.00" to 0.04")
right front toe 0.10" beofre and 0.03" after (range is 0.00" to 0.04")
front toe comment: Within nominal specs!
SAI not sure about this
front left SAI 8.7 deg before and afte, (range is 6.7deg to 8.2 deg)
front right SAI 8.3 deg before and after, (range is 6.7deg to 8.2 deg)
SAI comment: So I'm slighlty out of spec for this, is this fine?
Included angle not sure
front left included angle 7.2 deg before and after (range is 6.7 to 8.2 deg)
front right included angle 8.3 deg before and after (range is 6.7 to 8.2 deg)
included angle comment: very slightly out of spec for the right front.
cross camber, cross caster ,total toe is in spec.
