New G37S Convertible - Rattles?!?

lucky you. there have been a total of 12 attempts on mine. last one really screwed up everything, and the dealer (miller infiniti in van nuys, ca) doesnt even want to return my calls anymore. they referred me directly to the consumer affairs department.
... how far are these gwinnett guys from los angeles, again?...

It's obvious that your dealer either can't fix it, or won't fix it so go somewhere else. That's what I had to do. I was very frustrated with the first dealer, and I tried to give them a chance to make things right, but after 2 attempts and lots of excuses, and incompetence on their part, I moved on. You should too.

well obviously i didnt go to the same dealer 12 times, i went to 3 of them so far. 12 is not an arbitrary number - it's actually the number of times my car's been "fixed". i have 12 work orders. the number of attempts is 14, but twice the mechanics pretended they cannot hear anything. according to infiniti policies, this means nothing is wrong, the client is a lunatic, it's time to give him the boot.
i cannot say my car was repaired wrong, or anything. i'm pretty sure it benefited from as much professional attention as it was available, especially since about december last year. heck, at one point i drove around with a manufacturer's specialist that was so japanese, he wasnt even speaking english. but whatever they're doing, lasts for a week, two at best. i never said to a dealer "you guys cannot fix it, i will take my business elsewhere" - they were the ones that gave up on me. they have their way to kick you out without saying it. they go "all the convertibles do the same", or "it's because we fixed it when it was sunny outside, and now it rains". both are things that i would never tell to a customer, and are indicative to me that they have no clue what to do anymore.
despite that, i never raised my voice when dealing with the dealers (and not only with them - i just never raise my voice in general). i have no hard feelings for any of them - i'm confident they tried their best. i simply gave up, i lost hope anybody will be able to fix my car anymore.
let's put this in perspective. i bought a car that rattles and squeaks over minor bumps, and sounds like falling all apart when the chassis gets a little torsion. it has a lazy gearbox that seems to have a mind of its own, and works against me when i need a firm brake. a dashboard software that freezes because of the ipod, and needs to be reset by turning off the engine. with buttons displayed on a non-touch screen - they have to be navigated to using arrows, a rotating wheel, and 6 other physical buttons. there are double indicators for the mpg, range, and so on, that never show the same numbers. and with trunk space that generously fits an umbrella. sorry to say this on an enthusiasts forum, but i think this car has quite a few flawed designs that need to be addressed, before producing any more of them.

i did lawyered up, i think it's kinda obvious that what i have is a genuine lemon. unfortunately the story with my dear lawyers is not any better. they're very secretive of their work, and when i finally got in possession of the lawsuit file they submitted for me, it was a complete mess. half of it was about my car, the other half of it about some jetta returned from lease. i guess they had to retire it and submit again, since i asked them directly a dozen times about it and they answered me anything else that what i asked. in case you guys didnt know, having lawyers doesnt help in the relationship with consumer affairs - they instruct you, and send letters to them, to cease any communication.

May I suggest a new attorney as well. Seems like the firm that you engaged to handle this did the ole copy/paste from a previous complaint and didn't even proof read their doc before submitting to the court! You are gonna have a long road ahead of you before you get this resolved...
GOOD LUCK!!!

If you read my past posts and rants, the first dealer I brought my car to made things worse, and was giving me excuses and attitude for things they caused. After the second attempt with them, the roof starting to leak when it rained, and they created wind noise and new rattles. I changed the dealer and that solved the issue. Especially when they were essentially handing me off to consumer affairs or the original dealer I bought the car from. Yeah, right...

I live in the crab apple area , and i was going to take my car there for the morning exaust issue, do you have a point of contact for the gwinett dealership. its a shame i will have to go out there since the roswell dealership is so close, but great service is more important

It's like a 20 mile haul for us, but for me it was worth it. Gwinnett also has the "express service" where as Roswell doesn't.

I also live in the Crab Apple area. I worked with Bryce and 2 other people there when Bryce was not around. Gwinnett has restored my confidence in the brand and their dealership. I also hear that Nalley Infiniti in Marietta is also good, but I haven't tried them.
